Governor Scott to Sue U.S. Veterans Affairs Over Obstruction
Governor Rick Scott ^ | 5-28-14 | Staff for Rick Scott

Posted on 05/28/2014 9:03:20 AM PDT by sheikdetailfeather

Today, Governor Rick Scott announced plans to file a lawsuit establishing the state’s Agency for Health Care Administration’s (AHCA) authority to inspect federal VA hospitals in Florida, and to stop the federal veterans affairs agency from obstructing state actions.

Governor Scott said, “As the chief health policy and planning entity for the state that licenses, inspects, and investigates consumer complaints, AHCA should be allowed access to federal VA hospitals to inspect their processes and their facilities. On seven separate occasions at six federal VA hospitals, however, state inspectors have been blocked by federal officials from carrying out their mission of ensuring facilities in Florida meet the healthcare needs of our veterans. I have asked AHCA to sue the federal veterans affairs agency to shine a light on their activities and protect the lives of our heroes who have earned nothing short of access to the best care possible.”

I suspect there is a nexus of crime and fraud in the VA and it will be blamed on Bush of course.

I don’t think it will fly. The VA system is worse now then after Nam.

O’idiot ran his campaign on this issue along with others.

His stupid supporters have nothing to back up their idolatry except they are gullible, ignorant and useless.

Does he have standing to assure appropriate care for FL residents?

From an experience years ago with my mom, I found FL, state and the town she lived in, to be very good about supervising health care for seniors.

Don't think so. You have an enumerated power here. Armed Forces of the U.S. Gov. is grandstanding and he knows it. Maybe he is trying to shed light on problem but this will go nowhere. VA has been a mess for years. No big secret to anyone slightly involved in veterans affairs. Clinton started actual hate of military and Bambi just is a continuation of the line.

The really galling thing is the VA executives did this just to get bonuses for themselves. I’m sorry, but we have too many thieves in this country. People aren’t afraid of being caught stealing. We are going to have to hang some of them to stop this tidal wave of crime.

Has Rick had his Sheriff go and arrest the federal officials that are blocking him? No, didn't think so. B@lless Governors Association is alive and well.

Where is Alfalfa Bill Murry when you need him?
