After all, people don’t mind paying outrageous wages for menial jobs that can be learned in less than 10 minutes. /s

-— Then they can kiss their restaurants GOODBYE -—

Hey, where did all the restaurants go? I guess the greedy businessmen got mad, and they’re keeping all the food for themselves!

We should encourage this, along with Seattle.

We know what will happen, and these idiots deserve it.

I’m thinking it would hit retail harder than restaurants. Waitstaff and bussers make tips, so they are exempt from the normal minimum wage, and cooks/managers at most restaurants probably already make at least $15/hour.

Why be so stingy? Why not make the minimum wage $50/hr?

This is why the federal minimum wage law needs to be abolished. States and local governments are already taking the lead in hiking the wage. If Chicago or Seattle wants to commit suicide by increasing the minimum wage, go for it!

let them have it. We can use more jobs in Georgia. I will also guarantee you that if they pay 15 dollars an hour they are going to pay someone who speaks English. By passing this we can show all of the rino country clubbers that we can get even with them for supporting amnesty. I would of been opposed to his big time a few years ago. But, heck I think it would also be a hell of a good learning experience for chicago and others.

Wage inflation is absolutely necessary to pay for Obama care

I asked my ultra-lib (retired teacher) this question. He thought about it for a while, then said “No, $15 is about right, for now.”

I could almost see a conflict brewing between minimum wage and his meager teacher pension.

Chicago trying to get the lead on idiocracy from Sacramento, Boston and NY. Do it Rahm, see what happens to your tax base.

Minimum wage is here to stay. It should be based on Capitalism.

McDonald’s economic theorem. Minimum wage should be the price of 4 Qtr Pounders w/o cheese.

Seattle is already working on setting up exemptions for big companies and fazing in the higher pay over the next few years. It will give the appearance that the higher wage doesn’t affect small businesses...
