Note to self, when flying to the lower 48, do not go thru Chicago.

Hey, where did all the restaurants go? I guess the greedy businessmen got mad, and they’re keeping all the food for themselves!

Straight out of the Hugo Chavez playbook!!

Wondering how many will work off the books, for cash, at less than $15 per hour.

Working off the books will qualify you for more free stuff from the gubmint

Restaurants, etc have little to do with it.

Unions are the big winners when the minimum goes up, even though they make far more than minimum.

Most union contracts have a clause that ties wages to the prevailing minimum. When the minimum goes up 20%, union goes up 20%. This gives the union a big boost without having to negotiate.

Democrats are NOT looking out for the poor guy...they are looking out for the unions - it's where their bankroll lives.

Ah. I don’t really consider those to be “restaurants”.

“Then they can kiss their restaurants GOODBYE”

Here in northern NJ so many illegals work in restaurants that it would have little effect.

The scary thing about these proposals is that they are an acknowledgment that we basically have two different currencies: a dollar in a conservative state and a dollar in a Red state (which is de-valued by inflation and overspending).

In unrelated news...McDonalds just announced that Big Macs at their Chicago locations will now cost $10.

Good point, but why only $50 you stingy, greedy right winger? Why not make it $481. That way a person working full time (40 hrs per week, 52 weeks per year = 2080 hours) would make over a million dollars a year. After all, why should you greedy 1 percenters be the only ones who are millionaires?

What a great idea. That city is already swirling in the bowl. Just go ahead and flush already.
