Behind the White House Leak of the CIA Agent’s Name Is a Real Story

According to the AP, a CIA agent’s name was leaked by the White House . The AP calls it an “embarrassing flub” even though it was a crime when an aide in the Bush administration leaked the name of part-time agent Valerie Plame.

What’s given little attention in the story is the fact that the Washington Post reporter who wrote the story sent his copy to the White House to be checked for “accuracy.”

...

First of all, any reporter worth his salt would not depend on the subject he’s reporting on to verify accuracy. That’s just crazy. He’d make damned sure it was accurate before he wrote his story – and he’d freely hammer the person(s) responsible, not thank them for helping him write his story.

Of course it’s collusion. The reporter is merely an extension of the White House propaganda/spin machine.

In 2012, the Daily Caller revealed, through sources at Media Matters that Media Matters worked closely with the White House and media sources to bring us the “news.” Media Matters is a far-left organization and website dedicated to attacking political opponents of Progressives. Their purpose for existence is to debunk all stories not in line with their viewpoint.

“We were pretty much writing their prime time,” a former Media Matters employee said of the cable channel MSNBC. “But then virtually all the mainstream media was using our stuff.”

On Fast & Furious, Media Matters and the White House “instant messaged.”

...

Collusion, leaks, and threats to the press mark this “transparent” administration as a standout fighting against any semblance of a free press.

A blast from the past...This is what they were saying back then...

“...aides to Pelosi and Conyers said they have already had brief discussions with staffers in the office of Congressman Henry Waxman, D-Calif., chairman of the Government Oversight Committee, about his intention of calling for hearings into the leak case and possibly getting answers to lingering questions about...the leak, and the role White House political adviser...Played as well.
Today Rep. Waxman’s office has announced that his Oversight Committee will hold:
a hearing on whether White House officials followed appropriate procedures for safeguarding the identity of CIA agent... At the hearing, the Committee will receive testimony from...and other experts regarding the disclosure and internal White House security procedures for protecting...identity from disclosure and responding to the leak after it occurred. The hearing is scheduled for...

In addition, the Committee today sent a letter to Special Prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald commending him for his investigation and requesting a meeting to discuss testimony by Mr. Fitzgerald before the Committee.

The Oversight Committee will webcast the hearing live at www.oversight.house.gov.

Hhhhhhuuuuuummmmmm, so Pelosi, Waxman, and Conyers got all liquored up on the idea to have a special prosecutor look into “the leak.” Where are they now?

Special Prosecutor anyone?

The WH has complete control of many media outlets who use WH and DNC talking points and have stories checked for “accuracies.” This is definitely not what the framers of the Constitution had in mind when writing that document.

Why do people bother to call them progressives. They’re the same Liberals they’ve always been.

Yes that word itself had been bastardized, but everyone knew it defined them as anti-US losers. Why not continue to call them that? Instead folks have bought into the propagandist ploy to run away from what they really are.

No it wasn't. Fitzgerald cleared everybody from wrongdoing. Plame wasn't even covert. He got Scooter Libby for allegedly lying under oath.

Colin Powell’s deputy Richard Armitage was the leaker. Powell never told the president, the Attorney General, or the public what Armitage had done. He sat silent as the investigation played out and as Karl Rove and Libby were ensnared by the investigation, a “crime” for which Armitage should have been prosecuted.

Count on The Media to fix this by demanding Obama fire Karl Rove!
(He didn’t have anything to do with the last one either)

The real story is, “What did the CIA station chief write/say/do that pissed off Obama?”

“The AP calls it an “embarrassing flub” even though it was a crime when an aide in the Bush administration leaked the name of part-time agent Valerie Plame.”

As stated in the above post Scooter Libby did not leak a thing. They knew the real leaker all along and on top of that she was not covert at the time. So that statement in the artical is patently false.

As to the lying it was a case of the memories between Scooter and the man from NBC who’s name escapes me at the moment. Of course they sided with the NBC man. Hardly anything Earth shattering.

And that can be filed under the same heading as, "What did Ambassador Stevens write/say/do to piss off Obama."

The deaths of the doctor that led us to Osama bin Laden and the members of SEAL Team that took him out were retribution to appease his fellows Muslims.

And just what does Snowden have that he finds it necessary to hide in Putin's Russia away from Obama?

Did this CIA agent have anything to do with Benghazi?

The fact that the MSM doesn't care about this latest screw-up by the Obama Administration proves that the Plame affair was simply a Media creation to hammer Bush. The MSM doesn't care about the “outing” of a CIA employee...unless it can be used to attach Republicans.

The AP calls this a flub because democrats did it, but when Bush was president the AP called it a crime because a republican was supposed to have done it is what the writer means.

Simply pointing out the double standard of the AP.

If the results from a google image search are any indication, Valerie Plame has been quite busy capitalizing on her minor celebrity status.

Want to p*ss-off a liberal reporter?

Tell them that the difference is that Republicans are presumed by both the Media & the Public to be competent whereas liberals have not earned that label.

“Why bother with newspapers if this is all they offer? Agnew was right The press is a gang of cruel faggots Journalism is not a profession or a trade.
