Obama will wait until after election to impose his vision of how we should live
Powerline ^ | 5-28-14 | Paul Mirengoff

Posted on 05/28/2014 10:17:00 AM PDT by afraidfortherepublic

I wrote here and here about the Obama administration’s proposed rule on “affirmatively furthering fair housing” (AFFH), an attempt to dictate how we shall live. In essence, President Obama seeks to use the power of the national government to create communities of a certain kind, each having what the federal government deems an appropriate mix of economic, racial, and ethnic diversity.

The proposed AFFH rule, issued last July, was expected to be finalized by the end of last year. But the year ended with no further action.

2014 was supposed to be the year Obama’s “year of action” — the phone, the pen, and all that. Yet, as Stanley Kurtz points out, Obama has been mum when it comes to AFFH.

The reason is obvious. We’re not talking about raising the minimum wage here. We’re talking about redistributing money from the suburbs (where all those “swing voters” reside) to the cities and inner-ring suburbs, and imposing racial and income balance in every neighborhood. In an election year, that’s political poison.

Now, Kurtz reports, Team Obama has made its political calculation official. According to the Obama administration’s just-released planned regulatory agenda, the finalized version of AFFH is now scheduled for December 2014, right after the midterms.

Kurtz proposes a way to break the administration’s silence on the AFFH before than. Obama has nominated Julian Castro, widely touted as a possible 2016 Democratic vice-presidential candidate, to replace Shaun Donovan as Secretary of the Department of Housing and Urban Development. Donovan helped formulate the administration’s policies for how we should live, and HUD will administer the AFFH regulations once they go into effect.

Accordingly, Castro should be asked about this matter during his confirmation hearings. Kurtz suggests the following line of questions:

On AFFH, how far will Castro go to force densification? What penalties will he levy? What measuring sticks will he use? What steps will he take to pressure suburban municipalities to participate in regional governing bodies? How does he square AFFH with America’s long tradition of local governance?

On regionalism and densification more generally, does Castro see the recent planning efforts in San Francisco and Minneapolis—with crucial federal participation in both cases—as models for the country? Does he agree with former Obama transportation secretary Ray LaHood that the administration’s goal should be to “coerce people out of their cars?”

The Obama administration has been avoiding questions like this for six years, and Castro would surely try to duck them during confirmation hearings. Moreover, it’s far from clear that the Republican Senators who, if we’re lucky, will ask these questions have the wit to follow up in the face of the evasions with which Castro would likely respond.

Nonetheless, it’s time to start asking the questions in public. The left-liberal vision of how we should live is unlikely to be an issue in 2014. But it’s not too early to prepare the battlefield for 2016. Nor is it too early to start building the record on Julian Castro who, presumably, would like to be an active participant in the 2016 battle.

I can assure you that at least in Texas, that’s exactly what’s happening. The MSM doesn’t report on it because they don’t want to let the cat out the bag.

Julian's brother, Cong Joaquin Castro is quite close-mouthed about his part in the activities of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus.....particularly the Caucus' financial activities that profited Mama Castro's activism in La Raza:

MASSIVE MORTGAGE FRAUD ON CAPITOL HILL The Congressional Hispanic Institute, Inc, is an entity organized by latino underworld kingpin then-Cong Joe Baca (D-Cali) in his capacity as head of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus. Then-Cong Baca created "HOGAR" (Spanish for home) in 2003 to work with the mortgage industry, lender and banks and latino community groups to increase mortgage lending to what savvy observers considered to be unqualified Latinos.

"HOGAR" colluded w/ Cong Baca in what was to become a massive bilking of taxpayers. Crime kingpin Cong Baca calculatedly hyped the fact that the national Latino homeownership rate was 47%, compared with 68% for the overall population.

HOGAR's efforts were to ensure that by the end of the decade illegal latinos will share equally in the American Dream of home ownership." HOGAR and Cong Baca conned the public, failing to note that most of the "dreamers" were illegals, citizens of Third World countries who had violated US borders.

As the subprime debacle unfolded---saddling taxpayers w/ $$billions in bailouts---HOGAR declined repeated requests for comment despite the economic havoc their activities precipitated.

These mortgage schemes demonstrated the criminal activities of border violators with multiple identities---perhaps violent, terrorist-connected foreigners---colluding and conspiring to defraud private companies and public entities. And mortgage racketeering enterprises which employed sub rosa finance and business practices to carry out deceptions and frauds.

The crime syndicate of swindlers included a Congresman, illegals with multiple identities--all colluding to cheat the US govt and taxpayers out of hundreds of millions of dollars.

La Raza also got Democrat Congressional earmarks and tax dollars for "mortgage counseling." The super-secret Congressional Hispanic Caucus calculatedly launched a housing initiative called "HOGAR"-- Spanish for home. Conspiracy and collusion were the watchwords....... race-based "La Raza" was given tax dollars and Congressionsl earmarks to finance its so-called mortgage activities. La Raza's "strategic partnerships” with Wachovia and Bank of America forced the falsifications of mortgage-application and the dumbing down of mtge requirements and documentation standards.......which caused taxpayers to be socked w/ billions in bailouts as the US economy tanked.

La Raza aided and abetted risky federal and private-home loans to latinos over the last decade. thanks to the lending industry’s version of “don’t ask, don’t tell.” In addition to millions of federal tax dollars, La Raza also collected a $1 million Democratic earmark that funded “community-development” projects. Analysts report that much of it went to "mortgage counseling."

===============================================

TALKING POINTS----MASSIVE LAWLESSNESS ON CAPITOL HILL:

The Congressional Hispanic Institute, Inc, is an entity organized by then-Cong Joe Baca (D-Cali) in his capacity as head of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus.

Then-Cong Baca created "HOGAR" (Spanish for home) in 2003 to work with the mortgage industry, F/M, lenders, banks and latino community groups to increase mortgage lending to what savvy observers consider to be unqualified Latinos.

"HOGAR" colluded w/ Cong Baca in what was to become a massive bilking of taxpayers.

Then-Cong Baca calculatedly hyped the fact that the national Latino homeownership rate was 47%, compared with 68% for the overall population.

HOGAR was coached to call the figure "alarming," and to say "a concerted effort was required to ensure that by the end of the decade Latinos will share equally in the American Dream of home ownership."

HOGAR and Cong Baca conned the public, failing to note that most of the "dreamers" were illegals, citizens of Third World countries who had violated US borders.

Predictably, HOGAR colluded w/ co-conspirators which included:

(a) shaky mortgage companies that ran into big trouble;

(b) Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, both now under federal control after billions in taxpayer bailouts;

(c) Countrywide Financial Corp., sold to Bank of America Corp;

(d) Washington Mutual Inc., taken over by the US government and sold to J.P. Morgan Chase & Co.; and,

(e) New Century Financial Corp. and Ameriquest Mortgage Corp, both now defunct, killed by defaulted subprime Latino mortgages.

HOGAR's ties to the subprime mortgage industry were substantial. Bribery and self-dealing were rampant:

<><> Companies that donated $150,000 to Cong Baca got the right to have their own research fellow who would conduct fraudulent studies, which were cunningly used by industry lobbyists to pump lending.

<><> Bribery and extortion in the form of $100,000 annual donations to Cong Baca, for which HOGAR provided phony news releases from Cong Baca's Hispanic Caucus promoting a lender's commercial products to the Latino market,

<><> The most shocking example of bribery well-substantitated by Hogar's literature..... HOGAR announced it worked with Freddie Mac on a self-serving two-year examination of Latino homeownership in 63 congressional districts.

The "study" found Hispanic ownership on the rise thanks to "new flexible mortgage loan products" that the industry was adopting at the urging of Cong Baca's collusive coterie.

<><> HOGAR conned lenders into even more lenient down-payment and underwriting standards.

<><> As the subprime debacle unfolded, HOGAR declined repeated requests for comment despite the economic havoc their activities precipitated.

L/E will find that individuals with multiple identities obtained fraudulent mortgages then flipped the houses at ever-higher prices to family member who then absconded to foreign countries, sticking banks (and taxpayers) with hundreds of millions in fraudulent mortgages.

BACKGROUND A Wall Street Journal investigative report related that, according to the Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council examination of the borrowing spree, uncovered financial schemes by low-income housing groups, Hispanic lawmakers, a congressional Hispanic housing initiative, mortgage lenders and brokers, all colluding in fraduent schemes to increase homeownership among Latinos with forged documents which enabled massive fraud.

This was not simply the mortgage market at work. It was fueled by avarice, greed, and Congressional enabling fraudulent practices. In 2005 alone, mortgages to Hispanics jumped by 29%; Latinos with multiple fraudulent identities in low-paying jobs obtained subprime mortgages for prime properties---soaring to 169%.

(Research provided by Wall Street Journal. Some material excerpted from the NY Times).

Precisely and that’s destroying home values nation wide; its part of the plan to destroy the middle class who used to use residential real estate as a wealth making vehicle. That no longer works because within 5 years of buying a home in a new subdivision, HUDite housing has been incorporated into the neighborhood mix and the hoodies are stalking da’ hood looking for trouble. That of course depresses the value of the house when the resident goes to sell it.

The twisted progressive mind at work -—community organizer Obama sued banks to give out loans to people who could not qualify. Food stamps and SSI was considered “income.”

Now as president, he’s suing bank for giving out loans to unqualified people “who did not know what they were getting into.”

An exhaustive investigation of Congressional Hispanic Caucus records should commence, to uncover possible Falsifying of Official Government Documents.....punishable by 10 year incarceration.

Falsifying Government Documents. involves altering, changing, or modifying a document for the purpose of deception.......can also involve forgery and/or passing copies of false documents.

Falsifying documents is usually done in connection with broader criminal aims, such as extortion, government fraud, tax evasion, money laundering, financing the insurgency, terrorism, benefitting cronies, relatives, etc........

Types of documents commonly falsified may include:
◾Tax returns and income statements
◾Personal checks
◾Bank account records
◾Business record keeping books
◾Immigration documents (such as visas, passports, etc.)
◾Identification cards and birth certificates

Many different types of acts can be considered as falsifying a document, including:
◾Altering or misrepresenting factual information such as prices or monetary amounts
◾Stating false information when requested to provide truthful statements
◾Forging a signature
◾Using official letterheads without authorization
◾Concealing assets or property WRT obtaining federal/state grants))
◾Knowingly using or distributing a fake document

A person can only be held criminally liable if they are deliberately acting with the intention of deceiving or defrauding another party.

Falsifying documents is a very serious offense and is generally classified as a felony. This means that a person charged with falsifying documents may be subject to the following legal penalties:
◾Having to pay a monetary fine
◾Incarceration in a prison facility

Depending on the gravity of the offense, as well as individual state laws, falsifying documents can result in a prison sentence of 5-10 years. Also, if government documents or authorities were involved, the legal penalties may be more severe. ..... legal penalties may increase with repeat offenses.

The penalty for falsifying government documents is outlined in the Crimes Act of 1958.

The FBI, SEC and IRS should examine every document filed by (a) the Castros, (b) the tax- exempt La Raza, (c) Mama Castro, and, (d) the two Castro's govt offices.

Every official tax-exempt document filed by the Castros needs to be scrutinized in conjunction w/ possible connections to govt fraud, corruption, money laundering and tax evasion, financing the insurgency, armed conquest of the SW takeover. Perjury and forgery, need to be considered.

Falsifying Official Public Documents involves altering, changing, or modifying a document for the purpose of deception.......can also involve forgery and/or passing copies of false documents. Falsifying documents is usually done in connection with broader criminal aims, such as extortion, government fraud, tax evasion, money laundering, financing terrorism........

==================================================

L/E should to get ahold of the Castros' (1) check copies, (2) wire transfers, (3) account statements, (4) invoices, (5) bills, (6) delivery tickets, (7) correspondence including e-mail, contracts, loan agreements, and, (8) any other books or records.

L/E should also explore (a) monies the Castros paid to brokers, sub-brokers, (b) family members, (c) mortgage brokers, (d) financial managers, and, (e) real estate agents, brokers, and developers.

==================================================

MORE HERE It's time to mobilize the Bank Secrecy Act----to follow the paper trail of the Castros and the Hispanic Vcaucus govt grant disbursements, and determine how govt monies changes hands.

Taxpayers demand to know the scope and dimension of government insiders ability to collude in sub rosa deals and who might be personally profiting.

<><> L/E needs to examine the Castros multiple bank accounts.

<><> Joint bank accounts might be used to facilitate the transfer govt funds from one account to another, and/or wire-transferred to the Third World;

<><> To cover their tracks, fake govt invoices might be created to show that govt money deposited into accounts was being used for legitimate govt purposes.

<><> Financial schemes scheme might be advanced by issuing phony statements of payments from financial sources that actually covered the transfer of govt funds for insiders' personal use and/or for redistribution schemes.

===============================================

NOTE WELL Under the Bank Secrecy Act, banks are required to establish, implement and maintain programs designed to detect and report suspicious activity indicative of money laundering and other financial crimes. “The Bank Secrecy Act was enacted to protect the public from harm by identifying and detecting money laundering from criminal enterprises, terrorism, tax evasion or other unlawful activities,” the special agent in charge for Internal Revenue Service Criminal Investigation, explained.

Shady banking transactions could be prosecuted under the (1) Bank Secrecy ACT, (2) RICO, and, (3) the Hobbs Act.

=============================================

<><> L/E should get ahold of: (1) copies of the Castros' checks, (2) wire transfers, (3) account statements, (4) invoices, (5) bills, (6) delivery tickets, (7) correspondence including snail mail, e-mail, mobile devices, cell phones, (8) contracts, (9) loan agreements, (10) other account books or official records.

L/E should also explore (a) monies Castros paid to brokers, sub- brokers, (b) family members, (c) mortgage brokers, (d) financial managers, and, (e) real estate agents, brokers, and developers.

<><> L/E should scrutinize bank accounts for suspicious activites: (A) large deposits, (B) funds transferred from one account into another, (C) frequent requests for withdrawals.

<><> Bank records might also show diversions to secret LLC accounts, to money launder and to operate personal ventures---or to finance campaign activities (and/or other redistribution schemes favored by the WH).

Tax fraud may also be a factor; facilitated by withdrawals, gift cards purchases, credit card purchases and intra-bank transfers from DHS accounts into personal accounts, campaign accounts, or into redistribution schemes.

<><> A huge tipoff is whether bank withdrawals support and luxurious lifestyle including payments for real estate, investment and stock holdings, jewelry, luxury vehicles, resort travel....... and gifts from luxury outlets for wives and mistresses (and campaign activities, or other progressive redistribution schemes).

=================================================

Taxpayers demand the Bank Secrecy Act be used to prosecute govt fraud, pronto.

SAMPLE LETTER TO LAW ENFORCEMENT
Taxpayers are urged to act now.
FBI TIPS PAGE https://tips.fbi.gov
EMAIL enforcement@SEC.gov

SUBJECT: Collusion, conspiracy, and bribery
IN RE: financial irregularities
REFERENCE: govt fraud, falsified documents, wire transfers, accounting fraud, terrorism, armed insurgency, etc.

NARRATIVE Taxpayers demand to know the scope and dimension of multiple conspiracies by government insiders to collude in sub rosa deals to personally profit and/or to facilitate redistribution schemes.

OF INTEREST TO LAW ENFORCEMENT The FBI should interrogate individuals for evidence of multiple schemes to falsify documents to further insider schemes. The FBI should investigate any and all official documents submitted by DHS.

Crimes might include---conspiracy, collusion, falsifying offical documents (a felony), money laundering, tax evasion, extorting taxpayers, theft of govt monies, misuse of public office and government positions, financing the insurgency, funding the SW armed takeover plans, etc.

Examine Castros' personnel tax returns with a fine-tooth comb.....especially entries for "interest income."

I live outside one of those tiny towns, as well as several smaller villages.

What happens here is *halfway houses* and social workers intentionally send urban welfare cases here, as well.

The new residents don’t fit in. The locals who adopted black babies raised rural kids who happen to be black. There is zero commonality between the transplanted blacks and the local black kids. The transplants last a while, then leave. Once in a blue moon, we get a young black couple who maybe wanted a farm or just wanted a rural getaway. Loneliness gets to them and they sell out rather soon.

It is just culture shock on both sides and even the best intentioned locals who attempt to be welcoming don’t seem to succeed at it.
