Seems as though this has been going on for a couple of weeks or more. Rep. Hank Johnson is worried the continent might tip over.
Note, this was published on May 2nd. Russian deployments will have since been changed. Nevertheless, the illustration provides a general understanding of the order of battle in this conflict. Although Russia’s numerican and logistical superiority is a multifold advantage over the Ukrainians, Russia can deploy only a part of that overwhelming force on the Ukrainian front due to force commitments on other fronts such as Chechnya, Georgia, and China. This can be seen especially in Chechnya where only 3 of 28 battalions located there have been deployed to the Ukrainian Front; and 0 of 8 battalions located in occupied Georgia’s Abkhazia and South Ossetia have been deployed to the Ukrainian Front.
The Russian armies located in Kaliningrad and Transnistria are opposed by NATO and Ukranian forces in those isolated positions.
