Former Georgia Secretary of State Karen Handel said late Tuesday she will endorse Rep. Jack Kingstons Senate bid.
Handels endorsement will come at a Kingston event at 1 p.m. on Wednesday. The Savannah Republican hopes that the tea party forces that helped Handel finish third in last weeks runoff could shift their allegiances to his camp.
Kingston faces businessman David Perdue, the top vote-getter in the GOP primary, in a July 22 runoff that will be the longest - and likely costliest in state history.
Handels endorsement should come as little surprise to close watchers of this rollicking race. Handel and Perdue got into a very public tiff after the former Fortune 500 executive knocked Handel as the high school graduate in this race.

i hope this helps the best of the two win it.
Good for her.
IMHO David Perdue would just be Saxby Chambliss’s third term. We need to get behind Kingsotn. He’s a lot better. He’s not Paul Broun or Karen Handel but he usually votes the right way.
Good news, I would say. Purdue is less conservative than Kingston and is an inexperienced campaigner who would be more vulnerable to spawn of Nunn.
Kingston is a little too “establishment” for some people but he has a conservative voting record and I think he’s an upgrade from Saxby, nepotist Perdue seems like a downgrade to me. He could be anything since he has NO record, but his comments on “raising revenue” are very troubling.
Sorry, meant to ping you to THIS thread
In other GA news, Club For Growth endorsed Loudermilk over Barr. On twitter, Barr is blasting Loudermilk for waging a negative campaign without citing any examples.
I heard Barr is pissed that Loudermilk has mentioned numerous times that Barr endorsed Eric Holder for A.G. in 2009 and wrote a letter of recommendation for him. It was when Barr was out seeking revenge against the GOP in Libertarian Party mode. It was particularly pathetic since Barr clashed with Holder numerous times during the Clinton era over Holder’s gun grabbing agenda, and being pro-gun is the ONE issue Barr stayed consistent on when he joined the LP. And yet he STILL helped a extreme gun grabber get back in power.
Poor Bob, I guess he wishes voters would forget his treason now that he’s come crawling back to the GOP. The truth hurts.
It’s us that should be mad at Barr, he has a lot of nerve, has ever even apologized for his spiteful and ignorant action?
I think that Kingston would defeat Ms. Nunn. There’s no telling what Perdue will do, either on the campaign trail or in the Senate.
Its time to get behind Kingston. I am highly suspicious that Perdue would just be Saxby Chambliss third term.
I think that’s why the Chamber endorsed him. If the Chamber got behind Perdue and he screwed up that would ruin their supposed reputation for picking winners.
