COLUMBIA, SC U.S. Senate hopeful Richard Cash has a new television ad blaming Lindsey Graham for a rising national debt, confirming President Barack Obama's judicial nominees, and his position on illegal immigration.
"Lindsey Graham says he's a conservative who gets things done," the ad says. "Things like increasing our national debt to $17 trillion, or confirming Obama's radical pro-choice judges, or pushing amnesty for illegal immigrants? Lindsey Graham has done enough."
Graham's opponents have been uniformly critical of his support for Obama's nomination of Elena Kagan and Sonya Sotomayor to the U.S. Supreme Court.
Graham has said that he approved of both because they were qualified and that his constitutional duty is to determine whether they are qualified, not to oppose them because he differs from them philosophically.
The senator's challengers also have criticized Graham's support for immigration reform that would as a first step strengthen border security before providing a pathway to citizenship, pushing those here illegally to the "back of the line." Graham has said that if the country does nothing, the problem only will worsen.
Cash has said the back of the line is "on the other side of the border," saying he would advocate for deportation and illegal immigrants applying for citizenship.
The ad is the campaign's third on television, said Alex Hooper, Cash's communication's director.
All ads were purchased with an initial six-figure media buy that has paid for all the television ads, Hooper said.

Removing Miss Lindsey gains a seat for the GOP. Even if a RAT won, there would be no difference.
Bump
Sen. Graham voted to confirm Kagan and Sotomayor despite their being unqualified for the position. They had no intention of living up to the oath to support the Constitution in a position in which that is central and in which the lives of millions of Americans is often affected.
They were and remain unqualified. Graham is wrong regarding their qualifications. You don’t hire an engineer to design a bridge who has a history of designing bridges specifically so they will collapse, just because that applicant has a degree in engineering.
So, Senator Graham, when an honorable American is nominated to the Supreme Court, will your Dem Socialist Senators vote to confirm him because he is “qualified”? No, they will not.
So, Senator Graham, you are suggesting that tens of thousands of loons who are technically “qualified” must be confirmed simply because they are in some manner, “qualified”? You certainly don’t care much for the fate of the nation’s laws—as is very clear considering who you have voted to confirm.
Oh, and the illegal alien problem will certainly get worse if nothing is done, as you claim. Under your watch, it has gotten worse and given your intentions, it will worsen further. You need to be replaced with an honorable American.
This is the guy who is going to cause Lindsey Graham to clean out his Washington, D.C. apartment and go back home to South Carolina in January. His name is Thomas Ravenel from a well-known political family in SC, has a gazillion dollars, was in a Reality TV Show and hates Lindsey Graham and vows to run as an Indy if Graham wins the GOP Primary. That is one of the best Ads I have seen this entire Political Season.
Is this just a YouTube Ad? Surely something this good would be put on TV; not just YouTube.
Graham has said that he approved of both [Elena Kagan and Sonya Sotomayor] because they were qualified and that his constitutional duty is to determine whether they are qualified, not to oppose them because he differs from them philosophically.
This points out one of linda's big problems. She serves to project the desires of her constituents, not her personal philosophy.
linda's constitutional duty is the serve her constituents. Obviously, she's done a pretty horrible job of this.
