Everyone knows that golfer John Daly has a few vices.
It seems that gambling may be his biggest vice.
In a new interview with Yahoo's Graham Bensinger, Daly claims he lost approximately $55 million between 1991 and 2007.
When asked how something like that could happen, Daly offered a simple, one-word answer: "stupidity."

Old news. Not sure what the point of this story is. Daly made the same claim in his 2006 autobiography.
My grandson and I played golf at Daly’s Wicked Stick course in Myrtle Beach several years ago. First time to play golf on the east coast and sure was different than playing in our part of the country. My grandson seemed to enjoy watching Daly play golf back then. Said he wasn’t as boring as the other golfers and you never knew what he was going to try.
Little domestic wranglin' now and again too....
“Lets see, thats drinking, gambling and overeating. What else you got there, John?”
4 wives.
I’ve heard it said that one can live a very, very,*very* comfortable life just living off the interest of $55 million.
Pre tax maybe.
Smoking... you forgot smoking...
I remember one time, during televised playor maybe on Sportcenter a number of years back they were filming John between holes and he pulls out a pack of smokes and a lighter and lights up... leaving the commentator just having to say something like a golf commentator would... I still kinda remember the words... "...as John Daly takes a break and fires up a heater on the 15th..."
It actually may have been Berman saying it on ESPN now that I think about it.
Except for the “Dusty Road”, I like the lines. A little past parallel on the back swing but he shows great flexibility and clears the right hip nicely to set up a powerful follow through.
I think I see Bubba’s mentor.
John certainly could absolutely crush the ball... I loved watching him play.
And for the kiddos out there, you don't get that rosy cheeked hue from being in the sun too much.
Grip it and rip it...
Pre tax maybe.

LOL. I want to party with you.
A one percent return is more than a half million a year. If you cannot live quite comfortably on that, well, like I said, I want to party with you.
And if you can’t get better than a 1 percent return on your 55 mil, well, maybe you should party less.
/tongue in cheek.
True. I won't take that step until I have $50 mil to be able to be so stupid with...
It’s more than I make. I was being a bit sarcastic.
It’s more than I make. I was being a bit sarcastic.
I was making a joke of sorts about the lines and all. Too much Peter Kostis.
Daly, Bubba ,Trevino... those are the fun ones to watch. And play like.
