New Jersey Republicans are on track to get their preferred nominee through the primary in the states most competitive House race, thanks to the local political machine and a deep-pocketed candidate.
On Tuesday, Randolph Township Mayor Tom MacArthur, is expected to defeat a spirited challenge from a tea-party-aligned frequent candidate, Steve Lonegan. The stakes for this South Jersey open seat are high: The race is rated a Tossup by the Rothenberg Political Report/Roll Call, and the district includes the pricey Philadelphia media market.

haha, ‘saving the seat’ means beating a tea partier. Seems candidates with actual principles are actually worse than letting a Dem win.
For the GOP brass:
establishment hack > Democrat > conservative
This is about "good government" ..... and the choices are between outright Stalinists and Harold Stassen/Wendell Willkie-style "Me Too'ers". Real patriots are just a pain in the ass and need to sit down, shut up, and pull the lever for a "Me Too'er".

Who is better for NJ GOP Senate Primary Bell or Pezzullo ?
I kinda like Bell even if he hasn’t done much since he knocked off Case in a primary years ago. Booker is going to be tough to beat with Camden, Trenton, and Newark in the mix.
I’m thinking I gotta support Lonegan even if TMac is a social conservative and polls say has the lead. A big win by him will hurt the TEA party movement.
