Sarah Palin to MN GOP: Julianne Ortman Only Candidate Who Can Beat Al Franken
breitbart.com ^ | 5/30/14 | Tony Lee

Posted on 05/31/2014 6:56:49 AM PDT by cotton1706

On Friday, former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin urged Minnesota's GOP delegates to support Julianne Ortman for U.S. Senate at this weekend's state convention.

Palin told the 2,200 GOP delegates that Ortman "is a true conservative and the only candidate who is battle tested with the leadership and experience necessary to beat [Sen. Al] Franken in November."

"As a state senator, she proved her commitment to conservative principles and her determination to make the tough calls to get things done," Palin wrote. "As the first woman to ever head the Senate Tax Committee, she led the effort to balance a $5 billion deficit without raising taxes by a single dollar. Those are the kind of results we need in Washington! Julianne will serve Minnesota and the nation with distinction and be a fighter for our liberties in the Senate. Please lend her your support."

Mike McFadden, Ortman's main opponent, has been criticized by prominent conservatives like Citizens United's David Bossie for a "shaky" record, which includes his support for amnesty for illegal immigrants. Ortman's opponent has also been "soft on the 2nd amendment and said he needed to “spend more time” studying a bill that would outlaw abortions after 20 weeks."

Ortman released an ad this week before Minnesota's GOP endorses candidates that depicts her as a "runner." The primary will be held on August 12.

A howler monkey could beat A Franken.

That is if Minnesota has voters of average intelligence.

Well if I recall correctly in the case of Franken the Democrats counted votes until they won.

Stalin, a Democrat icon, said what matters is who counts the votes.

That is what happened.

On election night, Norm Coleman was ahead by about 700 votes. It was very close, but Coleman was ahead. The recounts started up, and there were irregularities in the recounts in a number of precincts.

The courts got involved as lawsuits were filed over recount procedures. But to make the long story short, recounts continued until Al Franken was ahead by about 300 votes, then Democrats claimed victory.

The Minnesota Supreme Court rendered a verdict that the recount processes were done legally, even though there were questionable judgements and counts made.

Somebody once said that if an election is not close, then they can’t cheat. We have seen in many elections, not just this one, that in a razor thin election, the Democrat always gains votes when they do a recount.

So when Is Obama coming to campaign for Al? (Cackle) Fact is, vulnerable Dems do not want Obama in their states. Obama's headlining Democrat fund-raisers---but there's nary an Obama stop on the Democrats' campaign trail (snicker).

Obama seems unusually toxic this election season because his approach to governing has been to shove all of his mindless left-wing nonsense down the throats of Americans.

His usual MO is to make excuses and try to blame Republicans when the policies don’t work out.......as he and his Democrat rubber stampers sap-happily said they would.

JUST A FRIENDLY REMINDER TO AL FRANKEN VOTERS As far back as 2008, at the presidential debate in Nashville, Democrat candidate Obama advanced his signature plan that was ultimately enacted (by an historic straight Democrat party-line vote) into the "Affordable Care Act:

QUOTING OBAMA: "No. 1, let me just repeat, if you’ve got a health care plan that you like, you can keep it. All I’m going to do is help you to lower the premiums on it. You’ll still have choice of doctor.”

Repeated over and over ---- with the promise that every American would be saving $2500.00 on healthcare costs.

LOCK-STEPPING PARTY LOYALTY NOT SEEN SINCE 1930-40's ERA EUROPE: AL FRANKEN MARCHED SMARTLY ALONGSIDE DER LEADER:

Sen. Al Franken (D-Minn.) the 60th vote on Obamacare: "people who are happy with their current plan, wouldn't need to change it."
FRANKEN YOUTUBE SOUND BITE http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UCZmAYYNz8Ihttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UCZmAYYNz8I

========================================

CAN AL FRANKEN EXPLAIN THIS? How $4.3 billion to Louisianna Senator Landrieu was attached to Obama's healthcare bill, and how Obama and Reid failed to catch and fix it, is yet another indictment of the Obamacare atrocity. The payoff to Landrieu should be investigated as an indication of how EVERY Democrat came to vote for Obamacare.

===============================================

BACKSTORY In the fall of 2009, Sen. Harry Reid (D-Nev.) was trying to get the necessary 60 Dimocrat votes to pass the Affordable Care Act. He needed every Dim on board, which gave waffling senators a great deal of leverage. In Landrieu's case, she connivingly saw that selling her aye vote could get her maybe $200 million federal dollars. Obama complied--- Reid chalked up another vote for Obamacare---and the $4.3 Landrieu giveaway was attached to the Obamacare bill.

<><> Where'd the money go? Does Al Franken know?<><>

Nobody is beating Franken in this race. Hell, the GOP in this state can’t even nominate their candidate.

“Rod Grams, a popular television anchorman who was one of the rare conservatives to be elected to statewide office in Minnesota” Too bad he’s gone, but with regard to this conversation the key words, which make my point, are “rare conservative”.

“It is the role of gov’t. to make people happy.”

We would have been better off with a Howler Monkey in 2012

At least a Howler Monkey would not have been afraid to speak up about Obama’s faults, fopahs and out and out socialist view points.
