Amidst yet another round of media conjectures regarding the demise of their movement, Tea Party groups across Arizona will gather together for a State Convention on May 31st in Phoenix, Arizona, the Valley of the Sun. This event has the political class a little nervous. Apparently, these groups didnt get the memo that the movement is dead. In fact, they are proving quite the contrary.

Isn’t this weekend the GOP Leadership Convention as well? LOL
This much is entirely correct.
The GOP elites simply have no idea of the (organizational) self destructive, unrecoverable tailspin that absolutely will happen if we/they pass amnesty (aka "pathway" or any other lying euphemism).
Absolutely. If they pass amnesty, I will leave the Republican party & stop engaging in politics at all, as there will be no point to my wasting my time. I’ll move to Belize or some other far away place & enjoy what’s left of my life. Or try to, knowing that my country committed suicide.
I’ve written to Boehner to that effect. I don’t think he takes us seriously.
It’s agreeable to work within the R Party. It’s just that it is dangerously slow. We are waiting, in chunks of years to elect more conservatives in both houses of Congress.
Without a TP convention, we can not seem to unify around one conservative candidate, and consolidate our resources, before the hammer falls in Florida.
The GOP watch us exhaust ourselves having come out of those first few primary contests, divided and cash spent and by Florida time Romney hit a home run with an avalanche of big money turned on.
Sweet Arizona Tea (good stuff BUMP!)
Thanks for the post/link. HOORAY Arizona! BTTT!
Even in spite of McCain, Flake and various and sundry “Progressive” congresscritters Arizona is largely conservative in its beliefs.

Why don’t they elect conservatives? The last time they elected a conservative was Goldwater.
The University towns, Tucson, Phoenix and Flagstaff all go "Lib". Plus there is a high concentration of "Illegals?" who lend their support to the gimmies. Its a struggle.
Looks like this thread is going to discuss our illegal immigrant problem, so the keyword has been added!
I guess it is still early yet, but so far I don't see conservatives winning enough seats in November to really make a difference IMO!
There needs to be a serious threat to this continued foolishness from the GOPe, if they do pass amnesty, then I think a third party would be appropriate, and the GOPe should be made well aware of this.
If they approve amnesty in any form this year, 2014/ 2016 will not matter...IMO!
The recent article by Quinn Hillyer hit the nail on the head. When we had the ‘94 revolution with Gingrich, the establishment was all for the revolutionaries. Now we’re fighting ourselves instead of the enemy, & with each Tea Party loss we lose energy from the rank & file who are tired of the compromisers. I wish there was someone they respected who could tell them the damage they are doing. After all, with another 20 million democrats THEY won’t be in office anyway!
