Backlash over $15 wage plan (& Seattle's socialist Kshama Sawant)
My Northwest ^ | 5/30/14 | Neal McNamara

**SNIP**

"If stimulating the economy were just as easy as taking from Jim and giving to Joe, don't you think communism would've worked out? Thanks progressive lefties, I'm sure this is making businesses feel secure about moving into Seattle.

"Silliness," Shapiro concluded.

Boze wondered why Seattle didn't just force the $15 wage immediately, if 70 percent of voters like it. In fact, Thursday's committee compromise is a disaster for the $15 Now group, which is pushing a ballot initiative for November that would enact the $15 wage on Jan. 1, 2015.

"They're not interested in income equality," Boze said. "They're interested in their redistributionist policies to combat the popularity in the Seattle area of the open socialist - closeted communist - Kshama Sawant."

The fact is that Government will ALWAYS fail when trying to exact social and economic ‘justice’ for the aggrieved parties to which they pander. And, it is in this failure that Government ALWAYS seeks remedy from the collective net taxing paying citizen.

In other words, Seattle will fail, the Government will bail them out, and WE will get stuck with the bill.

Seattle is overdue for a massive natural disaster. They already have their political disaster.

It’s simply not enough to just raise the minimum wage!

Smart communists know that the capitalist running dog owner class will just fire some workers, lower benefits, or even shut down their businesses. So there needs to be several laws passed simultaneously:

1. Make it illegal to close your business without government approval.

2. Make it illegal to fire anyone.

3. Make it illegal to cut benefits.

4. Raise minimum wages to $15.

Let’s see how their vision works. I’m sure, if it fails, they will have excuses, but it’s a pretty good laboratory, isn’t it? It will hurt some people there, but maybe it will be a wonderful demonstration for the rest of us?

No. It will be the same awful demonstration it always has been. They won't shrug their shoulders and repeal it, and they will NEVER admit that it was a stupid and impractical idea in the first place.

Their answer to failed socialism, as always, will be always more socialism. Now we need more taxes to make sure everybody is getting this $15/hour wage. Now we need state bailouts. Now we need to raise the rate on those new taxes. Now we need federal bailouts. Now we need more new taxes...

5. Make it illegal to move.

Wouldn’t want anybody off the reservation now would we?

-— Seattle is a small part of the country. Let’s see how their vision works. I’m sure, if it fails, they will have excuses, but it’s a pretty good laboratory, isn’t it? It will hurt some people there, -—

It will largely hurt those who imposed the policy, which would be a refreshing change, in comparison to people like the Communist-in-Chief, who lives like a king while impoverishing the nation.

Close enough — 10-289 (like the size of the Mustang engine some years later).

The purpose of raising the minimum wage in Seattle to $15 an hour isn’t to improve the lives of working people. The purpose is to drive the working people out of Seattle. Environmentalism and social justice are the camouflaged means for the limousine liberals to drive the middle class out of the more desirable locations in our country. There are too many riff raff on the roads in Seattle.

Ah here we go:

“Other businesses have adjusted in ways that run the gamut from putting more work in the hands of managers, to instituting a small “living-wage surcharge” for a daily parking space near the airport.”

You know how that’s going to be reported eventually — evil, greedy businessmen again.

Stories such as this one reaffirm my belief that basic economics (to include labor theory that would be applicable to everyday life) should be taught in all high schools so that people can understand the impact of their politicians’ actions.

It already is, from a Marxist perspective.

“Only until said pure democracy allows the elite to take all semblance from the People and take it upon themselves to practice “democracy” in our behalf.”

The Dictatorship of the Proletariat is one of the conflict of opposites that the commies love to embrace.

Theirs is “democracy” with one party directing it, propagandizing it and manipulating it, with the
so-called democracy turning into a dictatorship right before the eyes of the proletariat who embrace it with glee.

IMHO

McObama jobs!

$15.00 bucks an hour to spend your day inoculating fast food with Shigella and E. coli? Not bad.

lol.

Never gonna work!

Not because it's communism but because its capitalism!

The Empire is about to strike back!

Within the last 3 months, I've seen:

An automagic pizza maker that can create a pie from scratch and have it out to the customer in about 3 mins flat.

The Japs have created a robot that will go through a strawberry field and determine which berry's are ripe just by the color of them, then it will pick them automagically.

An inventive group has come with an automagic hamburger cooker and manufacturer.

I haven't seen it, but I saw an advertisement for an automagic spaghetti maker while perusing the automagic pizza maker cited above.

If they're gonna go for $15/hr for the menial work they do, they better grab it and stash it away like a squirrel with the last nut of the year, cause within 2 years, these automagic machines are gonna FLOOD the market and put these peons out of work.

And if you think about it for an hr or two like I did when I saw that pizza machine in action, if it can self-make a pizza crust, it can self make a whole HOST of things, it's all variations on the same theme. Why couldn't it make breadsticks? Well, Hells Bells, why couldn't it just make the danged bread?

It can make spaghetti. Think about that for a moment. It has to bring water to a boil. Check. It has to add a dollop of butter to the water to prevent clumping of the pasta. Check. Easy enough. It has to get the spaghetti out of the water by dumping the pan into a receptacle with a strainer. Check. It has to warm up spaghetti sauce. Check. Then it has to dump the spaghetti past on a plate, add some meat to the sauce, then after warming, it has to pour it over the spaghetti.

Boom! Done. And prolly in under 5 minutes as well.

That can be done at fast food joints that have a breakfast sandwiches, hamburgers, fish sandwiches, pizza's and on and on and on.

And we won't even have the joy of taking odds over whether the employees acted on a whim and spit in our food, video taped it and uploaded it to Youtube.

The $15 hour gang is gonna be truly hated in about 2 years as soon as all of this machinery hits the market because it was their efforts to gain the $15/hr that threw all of these projects into overdrive.

Don’t forget the automated kiosks to order like at Sheetz, WaWa, or Panera Bread.
