American Soldier Who Served With Bowe Bergdahl Casts Doubt on Official Story
Cody Tweets via Soopermexicn ^ | 5/31 | Cody Tweets

Posted on 06/01/2014 6:54:36 AM PDT by RummyChick

Early Saturday it was announced by the administration that the only American prisoner of war in the Afghanistan was released in exchange for 5 Guantanamo Bay terrorists being set free to Qatar. The circumstances of the capture of Bowe Bergdahl had been in question long before his release – supposedly he had wandered off and captured by the Taliban. But a soldier on Twitter is claiming that the official story is untrue, and has posted his version of the events that led to Bowe’s capture.

Towards the end of his story, he says he fears reprisal from the Obama administration, and asks for legal help. It must be noted also that he has a avatar that bears a picture of Bowe with the word “traitor” posted over it.

Here are the tweets telling his version of the story so far:

Regardless, Barry broke the law (times 5) in that there was no approval to release 5 knuckleheads GITMO. Barry also broke the doctrine of trading US POWs for al-Qaeda prisoners. Also, we have no friend in Pakistan, and now Qatar is in question - they will sit on the knuckleheads for 1 year then release them - is Qatar really on our side, and why did we allow them to engineer this trade?

Thanks for posting this.

If this is true — it’s quite important. But I don’t want to pre-judge, though the circumstances are definitely questionable.

Just a couple of quotes from the posts for those who aren’t reading the whole thing:

“We start checking his sh*#. Gun, Ammo, Plate carrier, Nods all good. Only things missing are a camera, journal, compass….”

“Villagers said an American did come through the area and was wanting water and someone who spoke English. Wanted to meet with Taliban.”

Seems Obama traded an American Taliban for 5 High-Profile, High-Risk Al-Qaeda terrorist from Gitmo.

Jay Carney's resignation might have something to do about him not having to defend Obama's unilateral action come Monday.

I just found a VERY interesting article from just a few months ago, March 2014, on CBS News:

Is Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl a hero or a deserter?

http://www.cbsnews.com/news/is-sgt-bowe-bergdahl-a-hero-or-a-deserter/

“Rolling Stone magazine quoted emails Bergdahl is said to have sent to his parents that suggest he was disillusioned with America’s mission in Afghanistan, had lost faith in the U.S. Army’s mission there and was considering desertion.

Bergdahl told his parents he was “ashamed to even be American.”

And we released 5 of the worst terrorists to get him back and give him a hero’s welcome...

Ok based on Cody’s reports and Bergdahl’s dad being an apparent fan of Taliban-style beards and a proponent of releasing all in Guantanamo, signaling possibly his sympathies do not lie with those of the US, it could be that Berdahl was a Taliban agent. Had opportunity to gain information, sent his stuff home and took off to meet up with the Taliban. after which enemy attacks were more accurate and intense.

According to the guy's tweets two guys died as a direct consequence of Bergdahl's disappearance. So he should be held accountable for those deaths, at least.

Barack Obama can be called to account for the dozens perhaps hundreds that will be killed by the five muslim bottom feeders he unilaterally released.

Sure he will.

At first I was focused on the release, and the guy having been through hell.  Now I'm not convinced of that at all.

This doesn't look good.  And the father, there's a real piece of work.

People this obviously angry with our system need to be deported.  He seems like a time-bomb waiting to go off.

My question is whose father learns Pashto unless he expected his son would eventually be living there and speaking the language?

I’d be shocked if Rosetta Stone sold a Pashto course so how long has Bergdahl been learning this language? It would seem it would take a while and now he says his son is having trouble speaking/understanding English?? how did he find that out - the captors let him call and tell mom and dad???

He communicated with his rescuers well enough - how’d that happen? Waaaaay too many questions....the language is just one of hundreds

This has been making the rounds. I’m posting it verbatim as I saw it:

From Jeff Howard. “We were at OP Mest, Paktika Province, Afghanistan. It was a small outpost where B Co 1-501st INF (Airbone) ran operations out of, just an Infantry platoon and ANA counterparts there. The place was an Afghan graveyard. Bergdahl had been acting a little strange, telling people he wanted to “walk the earth” and kept a little journal talking about how he was meant for better things. No one thought anything about it. He was a little “out there”. Next morning he’s gone. We search everywhere, and can’t find him. He left his weapon, his kit, and other sensitive items. He only took some water, a compass and a knife. We find some afghan kids shortly after who saw an american walking north asking about where the taliban are. We get hits on our voice intercepter that Taliban has him, and we were close. We come to realize that the kid deserted his post, snuck out of camp and sought out Taliban… to join them. We were in a defensive position at OP Mest, where your focus is to keep people out. He knew where the blind spots were to slip out and that’s what he did. It was supposed to be a 4-day mission but turned into several months of active searching. Everyone was spun up to find this guy. News outlets all over the country were putting out false information. It was hard to see, especially when we knew the truth about what happened and we lost good men trying to find him. PFC Matthew Michael Martinek, Staff Sgt. Kurt Robert Curtiss, SSG Clayton Bowen, PFC Morris Walker, SSG Michael Murphrey, 2LT Darryn Andrews, were all KIA from our unit who died looking for Bergdahl. Many others from various units were wounded or killed while actively looking for Bergdahl. Fighting Increased. IEDs and enemy ambushes increased. The Taliban knew that we were looking for him in high numbers and our movements were predictable. Because of Bergdahl, more men were out in danger, and more attacks on friendly camps and positions were conducted while we were out looking for him. His actions impacted the region more than anyone wants to admit. There is also no way to know what he told the Taliban: Our movements, locations, tactics, weak points on vehicles and other things for the enemy to exploit are just a few possibilities. The Government knows full well that he deserted. It looks bad and is a good propaganda piece for the Taliban. They refuse to acknowledge it. Hell they even promoted him to Sergeant which makes me sick. I feel for his family who only want their son/brother back. They don’t know the truth, or refuse to acknowledge it as well. What he did affected his family and his whole town back home, who don’t know the truth. Either way what matters is that good men died because of him. He has been lying on all those Taliban videos about everything since his “capture”. If he ever returns, he should be tried under the UCMJ for being a deserter and judged for what he did. Bergdahl is not a hero, he is not a soldier or an Infantryman. He failed his brothers. Now, sons and daughters are growing up without their fathers who died for him and he will have to face that truth someday.”

I think Bowe Bergdahl is a Muslim convert like his dad and walked into mountains to be captured. His dad wanted his son to be captured so the government could negotiate to release the Taliban leaders. Read his twitter feed again, this is a setup I say we grease all of the detainees.

Glad you posted this link. I watched the whole thing go down on Twitter last night from the beginning and believe every word this soldier is saying. Other sources collaborate his account and there have been questions about Bowe from the beginning. I am hoping he chooses Grennel to handle his story. People are working to get him a good lawyer. More revelations to come.

The whole thing is disturbing and the American people deserve the truth.
