SAN FRANCISCO — While authorities are trying to keep track of a San Francisco woman who was breeding rats in her room at a residential hotel and releasing them in public parks, they say their hands are tied as far as trying to stop her. As if the Health Department can’t ask the “Residential Hotel” owner if they allows rat breeding on their premises, and they do, order the property closed as a health hazard, and if it doesn’t, require them to control/evict their tenant?
Oddly, ‘Rat Girl’ is identified only as “a 43 year-old woman known as “Erica J.” yet the two ‘Rat Ladies’ in your article are IDed as “78-year-old twin sisters, Marjorie and Margaret Barthel”. Maybe Rat Girl is the granddaughter of one of the Rat Ladies.
This is great news, I love to hear when the left gets abused by their fellow leftists...
San Francisco, Washington D.C., Newark, Compton, Oakland, Shitcago, Killadelphia, Detroit and many other left-wing cities make EXCELLENT feral rat habitat and this behavior should be encouraged.
Can we start a fund to help finance the efforts of this valiant woman?
Perhaps we can encourage her to also breed poisonous snakes and release them as well? Maybe a few rabid wolves?
If they did it in NYC, they would serve another purpose, they wouldn’t survive, because they would serve as breakfast for the native sewer rats, which are the size of German Shepherds.

This woman’s supposed “altruism” towards rats is deeply misguided, since rats in captivity generally live to be two or three years old, while those in the wild are lucky to reach six months due to disease, parasites, injury, predation, and a lifestyle that generally sucks. It’s like pumping out human children specifically raised to be homeless transients.
