Flow of border immigrants overwhelming agencies

... The flow of Central and South Americans through South Texas has become an unmanageable torrent within the past month, overwhelming the Border Patrol, and the Office of Refugee Resettlement, which is charged with placing thousands of unaccompanied minors who have been arrested.

"We are being overwhelmed," said U.S. Border Patrol Agent Christopher Cabrera, vice president of National Border Patrol Council Local 3307. "We have groups of 70, 80, 90 people just walking up and turning themselves in. They're finding the first agent and saying take me in and let me have my walking papers.

"If we don't get some help soon, it's going to be disastrous," he said.

Academics, advocates and government officials have struggled to pinpoint a cause for the steep influx.

We're being invaded on the southern border and the government is doing nothing. Both parties.

At the same time the economy is contracting and real unemployment is likely over 15%.

I know where Barack Obama is coming from. My question is how much more incompetent could the rest of our government get?

Absolutely. The word is out that obozo’s last act of destruction of the USA will be amnesty. They all want to be on this side of the border when it happens.

The also know that if there is a “you must have been here x years” provision, that is easily defeated by a few lies and easily-forged documents.

Not hard for me to pinpoint.. It is right there... Arrest me and give me my walking papers. Arrest and give a bus ride to the border makes much more sense. Mexico tosses illegals into prison. If border patrol officers are nothing more than a mobile government refugee center, of course that is what most of their day will turn to.

Absolutely ... the only solace I take is that everyone that is a citizen (currently and whom will be a citizen) will be treated equally by the invasion. Time to militarize the border. If the feds refuse to do it, and shrug off their Constitutional duties, then it will have to fall upon the border states to do it with the resources that they have available. Kick out the border patrol, and all of the rest of the useless federal agencies, call up the National Guard through authority of the respective Governors, put all state law enforcement on high alert, organize and deputize any land owners along the border, and expel anyone who tries to cross illegally. The feds will obviously fight you tooth and nail to prevent this, to the point of turning their guns on you, and you know that they will. That who just prove beyond a doubt that the feds are aiding and abetting a foreign invader, and would be in effect declaring war on the individual states, and violating their Constitutional obligations. If they go that far, then any federal law would be null and void, and authority would fall back to the individual states. The federal government needs the states more than the states need them.

We are witnessing the occupation of the United States by foreign nationals.  Pure and simple, this is a silent invasion, and territory is being occupied.

As regions become occupied, they are no longer territories of the United States, in real terms.

They may remain so in name only, or by official recognition, but the occupants won't vote for what is best for the United States.  They will vote for what is best for them.

Every elected official in Washington that signs off on this through silence, is essentially a traitor.
