FIFA secretary general Jerome Valcke expressed his concern about preparations at three of the 12 World Cup stadiums during his final inspection of host cities. During a two-week trip that ended Thursday, Valcke sent warnings to organizers in Natal, Porto Alegre and Sao Paulo, which will host the World Cup's opening match in two weeks.
He said it was a ''race against the clock'' in Natal and there was a lot ''yet to be done'' in Porto Alegre. In Sao Paulo, FIFA requested a second test event at the delayed Itaquerao Stadium that will host the Brazil-Croatia match on June 12. It is unlikely, however, that the venue will be tested at full capacity.
Local authorities are not expected to allow the sale of tickets at the test event for some of the temporary seating that was recently added to the venue, meaning the first time the 68,000-seat venue will be at capacity will likely be during the World Cup match.

I wonder if those rumors about “London 2016” are true.
The 2016 OLympics in Brazil will be the first where all games are played in the previous Olympic city’s facilities.
Just a hunch..
I’m concerned about the Sao Paolo venue.
Other than that, I think that things are okay — not great, but okay. Hopefully there won’t be riots & such.
Just printed out my color match schedule last week and have commenced my daily Univisión TV viewing through the final match on July 13th...
The stadium looks outstanding to me.
It's a given there may be work necessary on facilities. Look, it's flipping Brasil. Be happy if there's cold beer and a hole to piss in when you're done. That much has gotten me through Carnaval more than once...lol!
Go, chase morenas, try not to catch something that crawls. As for the rest, after 6 years of obama we should be used to "lower expectations". We may be asking Brasil for aid by the time obama leaves office.

Would not suprise me. Brazil is just like what it was in regards to Greece in the few years leading up to the 2004 summer olympics, only even worse.
Norm they are not ready one of co worker who been watching Univision news in Spanish claim they have investigave report on the Spanish news version of 60 minutes they are far from ready
Top rendering looks nice. The bottom photo looks like a place I wouldn’t want to be in. It will probably hold up for one game, however, if the audience doesn’t get excited and start stomping their feet.
Has the concrete set yet? They’re ready. Just not. . uhhh ready ready.. I’m staying home
Things do move slower below the equator I guess.
I’m surprised to see Porto Alegre on the list. I was there in October last year, and they were very close to being finished then. Surely, it’s only cosmetic type things that might be lacking?
If they’re concerned about 20,000 or so not able to be seated, let the respective fans brawl it out on the pitch BEFORE the match, and then the remainder gets to sit
Ya NVR know, could be sub standard concrete, made in america bolts or sumhtin..
The last thing the Olympics needs is a collapse and casualties.
Not even Bob Costas could fill in over that.
I hear some stadiums are ready some are not even HBO Bryant Gumbel has story on it this past March
Those look like artist renderings. Are you sure what you’re looking at?
