Questions about the reported abduction of Pfc. Bowe Bergdahl; Update: Reports of desertion mounting

My prayers are with the family of Pfc. Bowe Bergdahl, the U.S. soldier seen on the Taliban abduction video released this weekend. The Jawa Report has the full clip.

All Americans should hope and pray for his release from jihadi custody.

There’s one question I have, though, about strange details initially reported on the case — details which have been deleted from later wire dispatches.

This is beginning to remind me of Nick Berg.

After the terrorist killed him his father said the terrorist had killed their best friend.

Nick Bergs father was a member of the far left International ANSWER.

IIRC, Nick Berg had also had contacts with at least one of the 9/11 terrorist.

The video the terrorist made of Nick Berg was supposed to symbolize Abu Grahab (SP?) prison but it was made before the American people knew anything about Abu Grahab because CBS didn’t run the story when they were supposed to they waited a week or 2.

Someone in the US had to be coordinating with the terrorist.

The so called outrage by muslims of what was happing at Abu Grahab prison is what we were told triggered the muslim “uprising” in Iraq.

Just by mere coincidence, yea coincidence I tell you, Abu Grahab was also the exact same thing that turned the democrats against the war in Iraq and they began hammering Bush with it in the run-up to the 04 election.

I’m going out on a limb and guess the terrorist are going to have a major offensive and Hillary will then lead the anti-war campaign to get us out of Afghanistan.

So they promoted him in absentia? How’s that work?

Someone upthread mentioned President Selfie wanting this to be a way to make it look like he really cares about the troops, in light of the VA scandal. I think it’s more. Zero wanted this to be his “Jessica Lynch” moment; a way to rally the US behind the military and by extension himself. This particularly in light of his pending (and badly thought-out) timed withdrawal. Given that the withdrawal timeline has everything to do with political expediency and nothing to do with actual conditions on the ground, he’ll need all the support he can muster to keep himself “loved” in light of the disaster about to erupt over there.

I remember reading something that someone in the same COP wrote about him ; that he had been smoking a lot of hashish with the Afghanis stationed there with them and started developing odd ideas and stating “ this war is pointless’ sort of sentiments , before wandering off .

I was thinking of this from a military perspective as well.
Isn’t there in place steps and military regulations in regards to operations like this? Debriefings? Standing orders? Who’s taking charge within the ranks of the United States Army about these things? Have they been ordered to stay quiet?

So many questions needing answers.
This has GOT to be very destructive to the morale of our armed forces.

Jeff , if we had any brains , we would now send in our best operators and kill each of those 5 a-holes before they can get very far . And if we don’t have the stones to do the deed , authorize Mossad , who do . We got our guy , now show them what happens ....Do it soon .

From what I’ve been reading, it wasn’t worth the fuel to fly him home. Unless the plane was landing at KCI, then a ride to Ft. Leavenworth for trial.

I think the term “wandering off” is not accurate; it’s pretty clear that he had been planning his exit and, when the time came “moved with a purpose”. He KNEW where he wanted to go and what he wanted to do.

Obama went to Afghanistan

Kharzai would not see him.

White House email names CIA Station Chief in Kabul.

Obama swaps one PFC AWOL for five Gitmo Taliban commanders.

What Jackassery will happen next?

remember everyone that there are key people in this administration that are muslims or muslim connected, including IIRC the chief of the cia.....

we are in such big trouble in this country...

a coup...a silent coup by leftists and a figure made up out of tidbits and myth....

never ever vote a rat in ...never ever....not at the local level nor the county nor the state and least of all not at the national level...

He did not just wander off,
He carefully plotted his trip to join the Taliban.
He took 2 days worth of water and was seen in villages asking to find the Tailban to join them.

Obama doesn’t consult Congress on anything. He just ‘does’.

It seems like a lot of people didn’t know about this...I had heard that there was something amiss with this way back when.

I wonder if it will be discussed in the media to any greater degree.

From what I have read, American servicemen died in the following months while LOOKING for this guy. I’d like to hear his FATHER address this. The servicemen killed in action while looking for his son, did NOT get to come home ALIVE.
