An FBI spokesman announced Sunday afternoon that 42-year-old San Francisco resident Ryan Chamberlain is being sought in a federal investigation for possession of explosive materials and should be considered armed and dangerous.
Chamberlain is described as 6 feet 3 inches tall and weighing approximately 225 pounds with blue eyes and brown hair. Lee said Chamberlain was last seen south of San Francisco wearing a navy blue hooded sweatshirt and jeans driving white 2008 Nissan Altima. The vehicle is registered in Texas and may have a California or Texas license plates of either 7FQY085 or BX9M042.
KTVU has learned Chamberlain was involved in sports marketing, taught a semester at University of San Francisco in 2011, and was active in political circles.
"I was shocked. It blew me away," said Howard Epstein, the past chair of the San Francisco Republican Party.
Epstein said he worked with Chamberlain years ago before Chamberlain switched sides and joined the Democratic Party's efforts.
"The only one I know that he worked with after he left the party was Gavin Newsom. He was an organizer when Gavin ran for mayor," said Epstein.

He went to the dark side
I'm shocked that San Fransicko has a Republican Party. Now that everybody carries cell phones and there are no longer a need for phone booths, where do both of them meet?
How did the FBI find out about him?
Active in Dem political circles, apparently. Gavin Newsome, IIRC, was one of their more leftist candidates.
But it doesn’t say why this information is important. Did he join some kind of radical “political” party, or make some kind of politically motivated threats?
“I’m shocked that San Fransicko has a Republican Party.”
Eh, that’s probably just a marketing thing, like how you can find a place called “New York Pizza” in most big cities.
Maybe they’re in conservative San Clemente, where The San Francisco Pretzel Company is.
Switching from Republican to Democrat is a warning sign of a psychotic break.
Compared to other Bay Area politicians, Gruesome is Barry Goldwater....
big white blue eyed guy, obviously fits the preferred terrorist profile for the dhs
all that’s missing is a tea party shirt and an NRA card (and a Bible)
San Francisco and Circles should never be used in the same sentence.
Well, if he was a Dem activist, it doesn’t sound as if he’d have either one of those things!

Ever noticed that the Climate-Change-Deniers and the End-of-the-World-Prophesiers are the same people? http://fb.me/1qsro0KDZ

Newsom was one of their more conservative candidates, at least on anything not gay-related. On that stuff he was “ahead of his time”.
We really do exist, all the fun you are having notwithstanding. We can generally deliver 20-30% of the city vote.
Always nice to meet a graceful loser, want to meet & play poker? Just joking, at least the CA liberal socialists can’t claim 99-100% vote wins.
Yes, I remember now...very far “ahead of his times” in the gay area. He wasn’t gay himself, IIRC, but I guess he knew where the money could be found.
True. I looked him up for his current opinions, since it’s been a long time since I lived there. But I guess I just remembered some of his flakier moments...wasn’t he the one with the bizarre radio phone call from the shower?
No, that was Frank Jordan.
It was truly a weird auto-destruct, IIRC!
He has been on a California competitiveness thing. I.e., he is one of the few in Sacramento actually trying to change things so as to keep businesses from relocating out of state.
He hasn’t gotten anywhere on that that I have heard.
In SF he was consistently for business focused stuff, like simplifying bureaucracy and getting building permits approved. He did do some good in that respect. He is a business owner himself.
Frank Jordan was a lousy politician but a good guy and a fine mayor.
Thanks for the link.
Pretty sure they are both queer too.
In San Fransicko, you could pull two random names out of the phone book and have better than 50-50 odds.
