Uh, one of them appeared to have a GPS anklet on? I really can't add much to this story other that ARSholes and MAIGgots and moms lookin' for a little 'action' will be hounding wallyworld to stop carrying weapons.

Wal-Mart has never sold assault rifles.

Well, technically not assault rifles. But they do look scary and they still take control of your mind, just not as effectively as a real assault rifle.

If only we made stealing illegal, this kind of behavior would stop.

ASSAULT RIFLE:

By U.S. Army definition, a selective-fire rifle chambered for a cartridge of intermediate power. If applied to any semi-automatic firearm regardless of its cosmetic similarity to a true assault rifle, the term is incorrect.

Not being familiar with exactly how the GPS anklet works, why can’t they just figure out whose GPS unit was at Walmart and go find the perp?

WHAT! I coulda sworn I saw some select fire M-4’s there the other day. Equipped with pistol grips, shoulder goes up thingys, 800 round clip magazines, bayonet lugs, “silencers”, lazer beam sights and countless other accessories. Obviously the reporter has been well trained in NOT knowing what she’s talking about. :>}

“...If only we made stealing illegal, this kind of behavior would stop....”

Nope. You’re wrong.

The ONLY thing that will stop this is .... UNIONIZING WAL-MART!!!

Yeah! That’s the ticket! It was stolen because Wal-Mart exploits it’s Workers!!!

Print that out and get it to Jay Carney!!! Oh.. wait... well, get it to SOMEBODY so the Dems have their talking points for the week...

/s (do I need to add it?)

My Walmarts here carry several different brands of AR15 in .223, 5.56 and 22lr.

Of course, they look mean because they are all black and have tactical furniture on them. So to media they are ‘assualt rifles’.

They are simply semi-automatic rifles with black furniture.

News of the “former republican” wanted by the FBI for explosives and ricin in San Francisco has not made national waves ever since it came out that he became a registered Democrat working for Twosome Newsom and put out anti-Republican tweets.

Some “scare stories” are scarier than others, apparently.

Perhaps the whole store was filled with folks on parole.

Some Walmarts are overrun with criminals.

Well, the only reason wall-o-mart doesn’t employe union workers is because of climate warming/change/disruption/alteration/............. Or maybe it’s just dying polar bears.

A ruger 10/22 with a “black stock kit” = assault rifle...

The same could be said for killing ... if we would just make killing against the law then the guns would be irrelevant.

"My Walmarts here carry several different brands of AR15 in .223, 5.56 and 22lr."

I would think the lefties would encourage Wal-Mart to sell "assault" rifles chambered in .22LR. Nobody who buys one will be able to find ammo for it. ;-)

It’s illegal to steal things? Since when?

Jeez, a fellow just can’t catch a break ANYWHERE in today’s world. They just get all over you for the least little thing....

Are you implying that the rifles are scary to the media because of the rifle’s blackness? Sounds like they are closet racists to me!

“...climate warming/change/disruption/alteration/...dying polar bears”

Now, you very well KNOW the WHOLE REASON they’re dying to BEGIN with is BECAUSE you can buy an “assault rifle” at Wal-Mart!!!

Sigh... Geez, I gotta explain EVERYTHING!?!?!

Quick!!! Get THAT to Carney too ... or to the next completely interchangeable, replaceable Standard Model 101 Lib....

It’s because they’re BLACK, right?

Maybe if we paint them rainbow colors, they’d be happier???

Yeah that AR15 in 22lr has the same “assault” effectiveness as a Ruger 10-22. Which is every 10 year old shooter’s first plinking gun.
They inflict terrible damage to water balloons.

Thats all it is.
I wouldn’t think that a 22lr would have enough gas to function in an AR15 platform. It barely has enough recoil to work a blowback design.

That's why I left the wood on my WASR. So it wouldn't scare the hell out of me every time I open the cabinet.

A month or two ago, I saw a COLT LE6920 variant for sale at a Walmart near me. It was almost $1800.....

I’ve seen a full 5.56 AR-15 operate with a 22LR kit.

It wasn’t 100% reliable, but it worked.

Oddly enough, while there are plenty of Wals that do carry firearms, there was one near where we lived in FL that did not carry them due to, uh, being in a “high risk” area. Near an amish enclave or something. Don’t know of any in the Reno area that don’t carry firearms. Longs only of course. No hand guns. Even more odd, when I was living in MS, I bought a nice Dan Wesson .357 at our local TG&Y. Long time ago and far, far away. :>}

I switched the wood off my pump action Mossberg 500 to all black tactical kit including folding stock, pistol grip, foregrip with picateeny rails with a flashlight mounted.

Woohooo... scares me every time I open the case.

Its basically still an entry level $400 shotgun but looks badass.

Its like a bone stock honda civic with ground kit, spoiler, and a giant tachometer on the dash with a shift light. (even though its auto trans)
Oh... a fartpipe muffler too.
