The case for impeachment of Barack Hussein Obama
AllenBWest.com ^ | June 3, 2014 | Allen West

This morning on WMALs “Morning on the Mall” radio show with hosts Brian and Larry I was asked a simple question relating to the Taliban prisoner release and impeachment of the president. I responded yes that in this current case, the U.S. House of Representatives should file articles of impeachment against Barack Hussein Obama.

Now before all the detractors go apoplectic here, let me tell you about Article 2 signing statements, their intent, purpose, history, and usage, and the implications for the president’s impeachment.

President Obama used an Article 2 signing statement to deem unconstitutional a measure HE had signed into law contained in the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA). The law stated that he must advise Congress within 30 days about any plans to transfer detainees from GITMO. Obama basically stated that this was “unconstitutional” and that his unilateral action fell within his purview.

Once again Obama used selective discretion as to what law he feels he must adhere to — in this case it has severe ramifications for our national security.

Impeachment is NEVER going to happen.

Impeachment is a function of the House the Senate only gets to say yea or neigh.

The House could gather all kinds of evidence and not only against the President, the fact that they don't should concern any Patriot.

The GOP doesn't want impeachment because when it's their turn, they will be impeached. And, it's much easier for the Democrats, who have the MSM in their pockets, and a very strong and growing stronger voter base.

BTW, gettin' sick over Republicans .... like West and Gowdy ... always telling me how bad Obama is. I already know that.

What's their Program? What's their Plan. Who's going to lead it? When? How? West talks a good game ... but he lost his seat because of fraud ... and he did damned little about it. He's also a Trayvon Martin partisan. Privately he says "he agrees with Sheriff Joe." Publicly, not a peep.

Foxtrot Oscar, Colonel. Fish or cut bait. Shoot or shut up. Time's a-wasting.

No matter how much Obama fails at EVERYTHING he tries. No matter how many tmes he proves he is the worst most dictatorial POS ever to be president 40% to 50% of America still likes him.

A democracy can only be as good as its people. The sad truth is the american public, at least much of it has become hopelessly stupid. Stupid enough that if Obama were impeached there would be a backlash, and a rally to his defense. While that is sickening and disheartening its the truth.

Sad to say but I believe you are right. I think if a recall election for President was held next Tuesday with any replacement you could name, Obama would win and remain in office. It is going to be hard for America to ever have a decent president again what with how degenerate and stupid the American people have become. I don't know one single person who voted for Obama who would not vote for him again right now.

“Impeachment is NEVER going to happen. There is NO WAY the Senate will vote to impeach.”

You are probably right. But we should try anyway.

If for no other reason than it’s the right thing to do.

Question: Can it be done without Boehner?

I used to think impeachment was impossible. Thing is, you always have to consider that people act according to how they are compensated.

This latest thing - the swap. It’s a clear violation of the law on a lot of levels, including perhaps treason.

If you are a Democrat, and you want your credibility back, you may just decide that one bit of practical bipartisanship is to jettison Obama.

Behind closed doors, they are there. So many of them rue the day they got behind the guy. There are a few unemployed electeds that got behind Obamacare.

You never know. Both parties win from impeaching the guy. The country looks more united, etc.

It’s not the impossibility it was three weeks ago. Between the VA and this latest thing, it may be possible now.

....Democrats ..... may just decide that one bit of practical bipartisanship is to jettison Obama.

Obama is already a lame duck and the Democrats really aren't worried about him at all. The maximum damage their boy can cause now is loss of the Senate, for which they were already set. I.E., the 2014-2016 script is already written.

Scenario:
Economic collapse blamed on Republican obstructionism during the period when the GOP will ostensibly control House and Senate.

In 2016, The Democrats bolstered by millions of new votes, FRAUD, and lackluster Republican turnout, sweep back in.

The Only Real Question:
Will the Republicans use Congressional power to thwart Obama's last two years and make a last ditch effort to save the Republic by rolling bck his anti-constitutional agenda? Or, will they just make more corrupt hay while the sun shines and let the rest of us go to hell?

I don't see any Republican sense of urgency. There's no Program, no Plan to implement it, and no Leader to handle what has to be done has as yet emerged.

People, especially politicians, are INDIVIDUALLY motivated. Democrats are a coalition party. They are a collection of divergent interests with a common interest - government as an unprecedented way of accumulating resources that can be used by people who aren’t interested in earning them.

As such, INDIVIDUAL senators and reps are looking at the balance sheet. So is the media. CNN is on the ropes, literally. So is PMSNBC.

If Obama can use individual senators, the Senate, the House, and individual reps to advance their agenda, then each and all can surmise that turnabout is profitable - individually and collectively.

The republicans are no different - they are appropriators. There’s the unity plank between the parties. They are appropriators - not servants of the people are patriots. It’s how a millionaire rep becomes worth 10’s and 100’s of millions throughout his or her career.

It’s why very rich candidates will spend $20M to $35M of their own cash for a job that pays $180,000.

Democrats don’t care about their party. They care about their business model. To the extent that Obama’s actions endanger their ability to use that business model down the road, anything is possible.

This is why Rove is jihad on conservatives. Conservatives are a threat to the business model in DC. That’s precisely why Palin had to be destroyed. It’s one thing to wreck it in Alaska - nobody cares. Don’t bring that sh!t to DC.

It’s why Cruz is the anti-Christ to both parties and every media outlet. DC is freaking out.

Unfortunately, the successful business model which creates billionaires like Harry Reid and Barbara Boxer, among others ...like Orrin Hatch and Mitch McConnell, has lead to the death throes of the Republic. Congress' real work now is to represent big contributors before the all-powerful ... and completely un-constitutional ... agencies. Our representatives often have no clue about what is in the bills they pass, which are written for them by the very agencies they are supposed to control. We are ruled by the regulators, not by the elected representatives, who function as insider traders.

Who is going to rein them in? How? 6 years into an administration and we have no budget. WTF is next for the Republic? Is this it? A new Bolivia with plumbing, for as long as it lasts anyway?

also, there is a very practical aspect to your point. the RATS need to clear the deck for the hildebeast and cut her loose from any negative obozo ties.

they will do whatever they can to make sure her skirt is clean, so doing what you are suggesting would very much help them accomplish this.

Thanks for the refresher, and link to a great article.

One of my favorite rainy day pastimes when I was quite young was playing "connect the dots." Funny how that simple game has morphed into a technique for understanding geopolitical events.
