When Bob Bergdahl was formally introduced to America in the White House Rose Garden beside the President, he was startling to see and hear at first: the father had seemingly morphed into an Afghan tribesman, wearing a long beard and even speaking Pashto.
The transformation of the former UPS delivery man was five years in the making in the mountain valleys of Idaho, sparked when his son Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl was captured by the Taliban in Afghanistan in June 2009.
In the half decade that he and wife crusaded for their son's release -- finally won this past weekend -- Bob Bergdahl journeyed deep into the meaning of his son's captivity and war itself, according to media accounts.

I wonder perhaps his son had become a homosexual...would daddy immerse himself into that lifestyle..... ?

While I might find Bob to be an odd duck, I cannot judge him, since I have not lived what he has. I CAN, at least a little bit, imagine what my own feelings might be, if MY 24 year old Marine son had been gone for five years.
If, God forbid, I learned that my son had deserted his post and sought out refuge with the enemy, I would still love him and would still want him found and returned. I would want him to have the opportunity to repent and to have the courage to accept the punishment that his actions require.
There’s a whole other discussion to be had on the merits of the wars on terror. It has seemed to me to have been poorly conceived and executed on the fly with no one having a clear idea of what the goals were or what victory looks like.
That being said, I have nothing but contempt for Obama using these poor people as stage props and am happy that the whole thing is blowing up in his face. I do wish they had been wiser about allowing themselves to be used, but some understanding of where actual responsibility lies is called for.
Primarily, Bowe must be held to account for his actions. Then Obama. The beliefs and attitudes of the parents are a sideshow distraction, which regularly raises so many hackles on this board.
That really struck me. He didn't just have his hand on her shoulder guiding her...they were fully arms around each other. He lip kissed her, too, if I saw correctly from a bad angle. It wasn't just a shift to the side of the mouth.

But of course being MSM they'll be the last to know.
I must admit that the script writers at CNN worked pretty quickly on this one. Clever enough to fool those who wondered for a nanosecond about the strange words of the cracker mock-up of OBL, during that time when Obama’s Rose Garden Surrender Ceremony cut into their viewing of the “Jerry Springer Show”.
Would like to know if the father has ever visited the Middle East.

Don’t know if it’s true, but I saw some comment here last night that the father had participated, in Pakistan, in a Code Pink protest against drones.

I wish that my view was as simplistic. Here’s how I see it:
Obamugabe used the Rose Garden presser to show the mohammedans that we have surrendered, that he has handed us over to them.
Bergdahl, the cracker mock-up of Osama bin Ladin, played back-up singer by praising his satanic deity in front of what once was our White House.
And, of course, the loyal toadies in the media broadcast the ceremony all over the world, so that the islamonazis would get the word. I am sure that there was much ululation and the passing out of sweets in the ME last night.
And the spin machine goes to work.
The photo suggests a lot of familiarity, for sure. I wonder how long they have been collaborating with the Soros Administration.
