I barely survived showing my mother how to pay at the pump. She brags about it, and acts as if she possesses secret knowledge. The disconnect is amazing. She has friends with smart phones, and my dad started getting emails from friends he swore wouldn’t even know what that was. It’s very individualized.
Heh... Thad Cochran has been in the senate since Joe Walsh joined The Eagles!
Hmmm, that makes me want to compare the two. I liked the Eagles more pre-Walsh, but I don’t know if I can blame Walsh for it, and they were still really good. Cochran is better than a Mississippi Democrat, but that’s a low bar. I liked some Walsh stuff post Eagles ...... eh, long story short, out with Cochran.
You should check out the “ history of the eagles “ that’s been playing on show time or HBO. Starts with Henley and Frey in high school and goes all the way to 2012.
As for Walsh, he gives thanks to the eagles for saving his life in 1993. He was an absolute train wreck on a death spiral after the breakup of the band. The manager and Don Felton showed up at his house and hauled him to rehab. He had one year to get ready for the Hell Freezes Over tour in 1994. Been clean and sober every since.
Good material for a campaign flyer.
If Cochran wins, he’ll serve 6 months and then strike a deal with his buddy, the Governor, to appoint Haley Barbour to that seat.
Proving the GOPe is just as out of touch as the Democratic Part.
So true....and funny too because it is a paradigm shift for them in a big way. I appreciate the effort they they put into trying to adopt and adapt so I am patient with the questions and then the bragging when they “get it”
Need 2 years before he resigns for that to happen. If he resigns before that we just have a special election.
It is very individualized. My mom has a smart phone. She got it to be able to IM my kids. They talk all during the day. Ditto with my MIL. MIL lives on facebook. My dad uses the computer to play solitaire and look up parts for tractors he’s overhauling, he’s not into the smart phone thing. Not that he couldn’t. If he’s got something to say to you it’s gonna take longer than an IM though. LOL. He and my mom are about the Cochran’s age. Married same year and everything. My dad’s kid brother couldn’t be bothered with all that stuff though.
But even my dad isn’t as sharp as he was 15 years ago. He’s ~Thad’s age. He’s very sharp for his age though. But there’s no way he’s got the intellectual energy anymore of even a 60yr old. He thinks Thad needs to go fishin’.
