Three RCMP officers have died from injuries after gunfire erupted in a Moncton neighbourhood Wednesday evening.
Mounties said in a tweet that the officers were mortally wounded by a shooter who is still at large. Two other officers have sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
Police are advising people in the vicinity to stay inside as they hunt for the shooter.

I read that as "we're going to shoot anything that moves."
Noting the black headband (where have we seen it used before...perhaps with lettering?), could this be a case of Sudden Jihad Syndrome? I’ve seen the supposed postings of his, and it seems too convenient. Maybe he is really another product of conversion to the ‘religion of peace’ while in Afghanistan....
Looks like he has 2 rifles
Monckton is famous as the city with the highest per capita consumption of coffee in the world. Must be a good place to own a Tim Horton’s, eh?
Maybe it just means there is a psycho out on the loose.
What the tv has been saying is his facebook has serious anti police rants and raves on it. Looks like he decided to act on them. He looks like he has some serious weaponry on him. This sort of thing doesn’t happen much in New Brunswick or anywhere in Atlantic Canada. I don’t think the local police are ready for this and some sort of SWAT team is coming from Prince Edward Island to help.
There’s a Justin Bourque on facebook who has a ton of pro-gun anti-NWO stuff. If it’s him, I think we can figure where the media narrative will go on this.
Post of the day. I hope the RCMP catch the shooter, and soon.
If it’s one I found, he posted Megadeth- “Hook in Mouth” lyrics 6 hours ago.
“A cockroach in the concrete, courthouse tan and beady eyes.
A slouch with fallen arches, purging truths into great lies.
A little man with a big eraser, changing history
Procedures that he’s programmed to, all he hears and sees.
Altering the facts and figures, events and every issue.
Make a person disappear, and no one will ever miss you.
Rewrites every story, every poem that ever was.
Eliminates incompetence, and those who break the laws.
Follow the instructions of the New Ways’ Evil Book of Rules.
Replacing rights with wrongs, the files and records in the schools.
You say you’ve got the answers, well who asked you anyway?
Ever think maybe it was meant to be this way?
Don’t try to fool us, we know the worst is yet to come.
I believe my kingdom will come.”
Night has fallen there and some arena is being searched. I am with you in hoping it ends quickly but if he has killed 3 and taken out 2 more with non life threatening injuries so I am not optimistic at this point.
The anti gunners in Canada are going to go ballistic over this one.
Yea, the one I see doesn’t have a town listed but his friends clearly indicate he lives in New Brunswick. Apparently he really doesn’t like police or the police state.
His first public post- “Soon they’ll put a tag on you, they already gave you your number, they decided how you are allowed to live, they paid for your school so you learned their doctrine, they take your money so they can employ people who control you, they told you to lay down your arms, but continually increase the number of their arms, they made your forefathers fight and die against socialism for them, they turned they’re grand children into socialist puppets to serve them, they tell us to live in peace, yet start wars, they tell us not to lash out against others, but destroy lives when so much as a finger is raised at them. if we are born poor, we die poor. we live under their reign, under crownless kings. Unless the people take notice, fight, and destroy the 1% the battle for the futur is lost, because the new age of the tyrants is already upon us.”
1%.....Occupy Wall Street type.
From PEI???? Who are they sending in, Gilbert Blythe?
So he's ideologically one with the Occupy Wall Street movement?
Doesn't sound TEA Party to me. Quick, some break it gently to Brian Ross, ABC News.
I know. Sounds odd but when I looked up crime rates PEI has a rather high one.
A SWAT team from Prince Edward Island.... is PEI the “hood” or something?
A few years ago I was held at a Canadian border station for 90 minutes watching the trunk of my car be pulled apart and having dozens of questions about firearms being put to me.They were polite...no handcuffs or anything...but they were relentless. They finally let me in and I've entered the country a dozen or so times since with no problems.
But it was a spooky experience.
Turf wars among potato dealers.
Drinking too much elderberry wine? Going 60kmh?
They need to bring in the big gun... I think they have one... just one... somewhere....

He has a point.
Semi-automatic potato guns
PEI is a hotbed for producing and supplying ammunition.
(I can’t figure out how to post pictures, but if someone can, the above link should provide some fun.)
Essentially. Though not the marxist one. The anarcho-libertarian ones who just hate authority.
For what it is worth, someone in a house tried to film a confrontation between him and an officer with shots heard. The camerawork is poor but here it is. Warning for language with no violence visible- https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=10152499750831419&fref=nf
He’s picking his shots as you hear it’s not wildfire. The guy gave 2 spaced shots at an RCMP on scene. This could get real messy if the police don’t handle this right.
Interesting reaction in the video, showing how people have been programmed—cops are out there being shot and the response is to call 911, missing the point that the call isn’t going to tell the authorities anything they don’t already know.
As Chesterton said, the problem with crazy people is that they have lost everything but their reason. You are right—if he has some skills and has thought this through it could be a long night.
Chuck are you Busy????
To a degree. If it’s a lone officer who was shot they can relay his status and specific location for other officers to converge and retrieve the wounded officer for medical treatment. If there’s other cops there then yea, it’s pointless.
If he’s armed with a rifle, standing on the other side of a 6-8” thick wall won’t offer much protection if he was a spree killer. Though it would have been nice if they had a firearm to offer support for an officer who most likely only had a pistol and/or possibly a shotgun.
It appears that he wanted to be a cop and graduated from some type of law enforcement higher education only to end up as a mall cop.
The liberals are already going nuts on Yahoo, it’s painful to look at.
I am already fearing fallout from this. I hope this guy is simply put down like a rabid dog.
Moncton = Magnetic Hill
Sounds like he's unhappy with Canada drafting men to fight against Hitler and Stalin.
RCMP has at least a few world class operators.
I expect this guy won’t remain on the loose for long. Doesn’t sound like a guy who could hold out in the mountains on his own for any real time.

If it was Texas, a neighborly shot gun blast would have likely assisted the police.Sad state of affairs we have come to in New Brunswick, hiding like target rabbits behind ineffective barriers rather tha getting family into the basement and bearing arms.
That Bourque is still at large is a testament to the fact that a generation of gun control in Canada has produced socialist weaklings instead of a free people, bleating sheep to the slaughter , driven by one solitary, crazy rifleman.
Bourque is likely a hundred miles away by now, likely had a very well organized E&E plan, by the look of him.
Cross reference thread:
Maybe—or maybe Due South and other PR things have given them a great reputation.
They don’t have as major a roll in Ontario as many other provinces thanks to the OPP, but I have heard that they are worse than the OPP when it comes to jack-bootedness, and the OPP is bad enough. Last year, a couple across the street was having difficulties, the OPP was called, the rest of the family had left the house by the time they arrived, the guy declined to leave the house or have the OPP in to talk and also mentioned that he had a gun, and in a few hours (it takes a few hours to get the folks in), I had a sniper on my front porch, and another in my woodpile, and there are all sorts of other guys running around in combat fatigues, and military-type vehicles in reserve-—all for a guy with one hand. They also didn’t end up having much to charge him with after he came out (his mother went in, talked to him and accompanied him). I was told that the RCMP would have been much worse.
This is why I would never ever go back to Canada; I was last there in the '70s. Similarly, I would not visit Mexico (same reason).
