TALIBAN SWAPPIN' BLUES (White House scarambles desperately for a solution)
Original Content | June 5, 2014 | By Laz A. Mataz

It is hard to believe, but even after five years of ruling, the Obama administration still reeks of incompetence. It behaves like a novice administration.

Every excuse was thrown out, every justification was made, as -- in an increasing panic -- the Obama administration saw what they viewed as a probable publicity coup, become one of the examples of 'terrible optics' we read about.

What this absurd thrashing about seems to show us is that the VA scandals were really hurting Obama. It shows us that nothing -- NOBODY -- will stand in the way of Obama when he has embraced the wrong choice (recall that the Afgan CIA Station Chief was outed by Obama in the days leading up to this fiasco of a trade). It shows us the Obama administration expected this to go well, though I'm not sure how it would have worked like that. In their panic, the Obama Administration shows us that this Taliban/Bergdahl episode is genuinely redounding to their negative. And finally, it reinforces the role of the "news" media as the new Propaganda Ministry, as they sound like the lawyer who famously argued,

Your honor, my client did NOT take possession of his neighbors bucket. Second, there was ALREADY A HOLE in the bucket when my client took possession. Thirdly, my client NEVER put a hole in the bucket. And fourth, my Client repaired the hole before returning the bucket.

Heard 0h0m0 say that he’s never surprised by controversies “whipped up in Washington”. This is all a joke to him. What a condescending (fill in the blank).

One would think, with five years on the job, the Current Regime would at least start to get SOMETHING right.

You miss the point completely.

The Obama Administration never tries to get things right.

Instead, Obama Administration always try to get away with something or put one over on the American people.

That is the core principal for this President and all else follows from that principal

Yeah, the timing on that is suspicious. Wonder how long it will take for the GOP congress to put 2 and 2 together and come up with "criminal leak engineered to remove guy opposed to illegal deal with terrorists".

Not only is the Tollybahn inside the building, I am coming more to believe that HE is one of them if not in actuality, then in spirit as a fellow traveler.

I can’t wait to see all the psycopaths that Birddog served with, tonight on The Kelly File.

Thanks for documenting these ludicrous explanations. I keep wanting to wake up from this bad dream.

It’s the fire supression concept. To kill a big fire you blow it up to starve it of oxygen. In this case the blow up is the trade for a lost and captive child.

You did more than collect the information in one spot. Until I read this I didn’t see what a huge political disaster this Bergdal thing is for the president, and hence, the thrashing around. I hope he wears himself out thrashing, has a meltdown and resigns. That’s a perfect solution for me, and I’m a believer.

Let’s add to that nice summation: Was the “outing” of the Kabul CIA Station Chief an accident, or a planned act by ValJar types to get him out of the way? Perhaps he was opposing this action behind the scenes?

I initially took the idea that Benghazi horror originated in a failed hostage operation where Ambassador Stevens was to be taken hostage so he could be traded for the blind sheik with a rain of salt. However, seeing how a fake “prisoner exchange” of the deserter Bergdahl was used to provide a cover story for release of the Taliban’s general staff, it now appears that the
Stevens speculation was correct.

Solution? Trade away the islamoNazi- in-Chief next time we want one of our deserters back.

So, if a local criminal takes a hostage and demands the release of notorious killers on death’s row or the hostage will be killed, then the stated policy of our police is to release notorious killers?

Do I have Obama’s thinking right on this?

We do deal with terrorists if it’s a hostage death threat....that’s the policy?

Someone should tell that to the survivors of Leon Klinghoffer and the Achille Lauro owners. Won’t they be surprised.

The real scandal is that the Republicans in DC don't do a damn thing about it. Ted Cruz tried to, and he got ridiculed by his own party.

All of those smart people in DC who are supposedly outraged by Obama's excesses should be burning the midnight oil reading the Constitution to see if there's anything in that document besides impeachment that could get Obama out of office.

Mental health issues?

25th Amendment could help.

The GOP should all dress up as the Taliban and then President Obama would negotiate with them.

The only solution for these morons is to try Bergdahl for desertion...which, of course, directly contradicts their assertions that he is a hero.

OK, so maybe there’s no way out...except for another major-league phuck-up that draws attention away from this.

What a damned loser the dumb-schits installed into office. I still can’t believe it.

When he and ValJar make a plan the notion of checking with experts and outsiders for input can’t be brooked; recall the way Obama once lamented that being the Premier of China would be much easier, owing to his greater power.

Recall also that early in his first term three different members of his cabinet went around openly quoting Chairman Mao, and his EPA guy on camera lauded a Roman tactic of HANGING as an example to others the first innocent townsman of lands they’d first conquered —”And then everything tended to go smoothly after that…!” yuk yuk…

Once they’d made a plan NOTHING can sway them from it, apparently.

They’re just not “that into” the democracy thang.
