That picture annoys me along with the video where he comes down the helicopter steps and gives that half-assed salute. He doesn’t respect the military. He sees them as bellhops.
I just talked to a good friend in the Army, I won’t describe what he does or who he is, sufficive to say he presses a lot of palms and hears a lot of chatter. Nobody special, not an “operator”, but he is well respected regularly travels the country visiting bases -his job (in his later years) would be described very much as mundane.
From what he says, Bergdahl was AWOL for his deployment to Afghanistan, off in the mountains somewhere and showed up late with an infection that put him on medical call.
In general, Bo was a misfit and a problem child with a self serving agenda
Then was shipped off to Afghanistan afterwards?
He was late, showed up sick, no good excuse -that’s what I heard.
This is nothing surprising. He did the same to the entire military with his cut-and-run policies in Iraq and Afghanistan. He pissed on the grave of every American who died there.
I can see it now at the next Democrat convention - John Kerry and Bergdahl standing with raised hands on the stage, then saluting and saying, “Reporting and ready for duty!”.
The collective vomiting would be deafening.
