Search teams ARE looking in the right place for missing plane MH370, an independent report confirms

An independent analysis has confirmed search teams are looking in the right area of the southern Indian Ocean for MH370, a week after it was revealed that pings detected more than 2,000 kilometres off the coast of Perth were not from the missing Malaysia Airlines plane. A new specific underwater search zone of up to 60,000 square kilometres is now being determined after scientists reviewed original data and concluded that the search should still follow the original arc defined by British satellite company Inmarsat. :snip: By going back over the original data and satellite information collected by British company Inmarsat, searchers said they remained confident in a long flight path 'arc' over the southern Indian Ocean holding the key to the plane's location. The 'arc' is based on the seventh and final 'handshake' between the Boeing 777 and satellites on March 8. The ATSB said the independent analysis had confirmed the original arc is still the right place to search. 'At the time MH370 reached this arc...

Interestingly enough, he has a conservative son, IIRC, who got treated in a racist manner on Twitter by libs who thought he was 100% white.

We were jumping out of our seats

The kids found Juan Williams so unreasonable that there was more hey you just gotta see this come in here than I’ve seen since dad watched Sunday NFL And he was hoping for a human channel changer

Monday a PHD was telling me why the microwave is deadly to health, she described an experiment where microwaved water was allowed to cool and then used to water plants, it killed the plants.

Next time I see her, I will introduce her to snopes.

The reason I feel the plane is not in the ‘stans is because Inmarsat system has at least 4 satellites, covering different world regions with a slight overlap. The Indian Ocean satellite was the only one of the 4 that picked up MH370. Had the plane gone north or west a different satellite would have picked up MH370.

<>At the time MH370 reached this arc, the aircraft is considered to have exhausted its fuel and to have been descending.<>

They just won’t let loose of that “exhausting its fuel” meme will they???

Who are they trying to kid??? Anyone with a calculator and competent in basic math would conclude otherwise. Do they think we are all stupid???

The plane had 7.5 to 8 hours of fuel per MAS — enough to fly 4000+ miles at 500+mph and reach Australia no matter how fast or slow it flew.

The sands of western Australia as the MH370 flies are only 3580 miles. MH370 had enough fuel onboard to hit each of the Inmarsat arcs on schedule and still reach the coast of Australia at Exmouth. Have they checked the sands of western Australia thoroughly enough or are they too busy trying to empty its tank???

But more importantly why are they avoiding the waters south of Indonesia???

The 6th and 7th Inmarsat arcs passes right through Bandung West Java Indonesia and those friendly waters south of there just east of Christmas Island. The waters there are only a 2795 miles as the MH370 flew.

Are they claiming that it didn’t have enough fuel to make it there???

Why do they keep avoiding the obvious place to ditch a plane and keep pushing the exhausting fuel myth???

That’s pretty close to the way I figure it except that a live pilot would have had to be flying when critical flight adjustments were made — including the turn south, a course adjustment to the east after 3.5 - 4 hours of flight, and putting the plane in the water at the end since it would have still had plenty of fuel to fly.

<>Who is paying for the search of this aircraft?<>

Good question especially since the next stage won’t be carried out by government employees on the clock but will require a check to be written to an outside contractor.

Malaysia says that it hasn’t put out a dime for the search and yet they are in charge of the search and they should be paying for it.

So then where is the money coming from???

My suspicion is that the money for the search is coming from Allianz — the insurance carrier for MAS — and going directly to the searchers.

Thank you for your reply. I’m amazed to learn Malaysia has not spent any monies. Yes, you’d think they would be the responsible party. I would also think the insurance company would be looking to shift some of the burden to others.

At first I said the plane was in Pakistan or Iran. But after this length of time the Arabs would have leaked it out. The only place it could be and be kept secret is diego Garcia. The only people that are talking about the Indian Ocean are the folks who know where it really is and they are not going to share with us anytime soon.

The insurance carrier for MAS is on the hook for what could amount to $2 billion in payouts if the little black boxes are found and culpability points to MAS.

That gives them quite an incentive to want to control the search for those little black boxes.

Wasn’t that Payne Stewart’s plane?

Yep.

A more interesting case was Helios Airways Flight 522, from Cyprus to Athens. A maintenance error had left the pressurization system in an invalid state. When the passenger masks deployed as the airplane climbed through 18,000, the crew, who were confused about the meaning of certain indicators, passed out while consulting with the maintenance engineer on the radio. The plane then continued on autopilot for a couple of more hours before running out of fuel and crashing. All 121 were killed.

Malaysian authorities want us to believe the missing plane just drifted into the ocean like a petal on the wind with Schubert’s #3 playing in the background. They will be carried kicking and screaming to the final evidence and still call the sky green. In the meantime, the western world tiptoes around the obvious so as not to offend.
