Politicians are so busy squabbling over extremism that they are failing to tackle it.
Shortly after midnight on Tuesday, the Home Office website published a letter from the Home Secretary, Theresa May, to the Education Secretary, Michael Gove. In it, Mrs May asked some rude questions about why his department had not acted earlier to investigate accusations of Islamist infiltration of schools in Birmingham.
This was heat-of-the-night stuff. One government department is not supposed to publish its attacks on another. The error was tacitly acknowledged: on Thursday afternoon, the letter was taken down from the website.
As has been reported, that letter was the Home Offices retaliation. On Monday, Mr Gove had spoken off-the-record, but unguardedly, to a newspaper. He was worried, the paper reported, that Home Office officials did not take the roots of Islamist extremism seriously, preferring to concentrate only on its violent manifestations.
Mrs May has recently emerged as a possible contender for the Tory leadership, and is even spoken of as a new Margaret Thatcher. Obviously revelations of her un-Thatcher-like tendency to be dominated by the views of officials in her department are unwelcome to her. Obviously, too, Mr Gove should not have blabbed....

It’s only Maggie’s biographer speaking up here. And if he’s going on about the Tories’ lack of will in the face of this threat, then it is not this segment of England waking up.
Far worse things are happening in Europe right now than great historical churches being turned into Mosques. A once great civilization has been turned into weak degenerate government dependents, too lazy and self-absorbed to even bother having children.
The reason we haven’t seen more massive terror events in Europe (and the USA) in recent years is that the forces of political Islam have realized that it’s more effective to use Europe’s multi-cultural insanity and cowardice against them and sneak the Caliphate in.
At the heart of Europe’s fall is the destruction of its Judeo-Christian culture and values by liberal proponents of massive centralized government. We are witnessing an all-out assault on those same values in the USA, and if this is not forcefully stopped the end results will be the same.
There is a time and a place for nukes...: )
Why do you say that? It’s obvious liberal elites don’t care - they use cheap ME labor. But the people care.... don’t you know that?

I agree, but I don’t think it’s about being ‘too lazy and self absorbed’, but about being demoralized and seeing no practical point in having ambition and dreams. This is what socialism does. It creates demoralized masses, which is why, in my view, alcoholism is a recurrent problem in heavily socialist/communist countries.
Of course, the demoralized in Europe voted for this. It becomes a bit of a vicious cycle I think. Nonetheless, it is very concerning and very depressing.
If the people cared, the liberal elites would be unable to effect their depraved agenda.
In the United States, millions are too lazy, too preoccupied, or too stupid to resist the "Liberal" (I hate using that word in this context; there's nothing liberal about these people) indoctrination--though, in their defense, feeble as it is, the indoctrination is relentless and ubiquitous and great wisdom, intelligence, and moral integrity are necessary to resist it.
Millions of people just don't have the intelligence, wisdom, or moral integrity.
I will grant that demoralized is a better descriptive term for what has happened to the Europeans than lazy.
Consider the word “demoralized”. Literally the removal of morals, which is what socialism has to always start with.
America is in the process of also being demoralized through abortion, transgenderism, forced gay marriage compliance and “multi-culturalism. We are also being flooded with drugs, prescription pain killers, anti depressants and cheap Afghan heroin.
God help us, many of us are voting for all this as well.
But you and I and millions of other people have the intelligence and foresight to know what it will do without having to "try it"--that it will not work--that it will require an iron-fisted dictatorship for its establishment and implementation--that it will destroy the economy and the creative, entrepreneurial impetus--and that it will create demoralized masses. Therefore we oppose it before it is even established.
Millions of other people lack the intelligence to understand this, and they doom themselves and their children--and the rest of us--to this vicious cycle.
It's not that they haven't been warned.
Countless wise people have shouted warnings! George Orwell laid it all out!
Countless events have revealed the tragedies and destruction that will result: The Third Reich, the Soviet Union, Castro's Cuba...the list goes on and on and on.
Countless warning have been posted here on Free Republic!
But millions refuse to heed the warnings.
Are they stupid? malevolent? pre-occupied? lazy? immoral?
Will their children suffer the consequences of their folly? Will we? Will our children?
Yes.
Can someone explain to me, why an advocate of Shariah Law should not be included as an advocate of the violent overthrow of our Costitution?
We should start enforcing the immigration law against the advocates of Shariah. Second, we should include the question, whether an applicant for citizenship is an advocate of Shariah. This will allow the later revocation of citizenship and deportation for lying on the application. The number one job of the Federal Government is to defend our country from enemies foreign or domestic. It's long past time for the Federal Government to do its job and not every other thing and activity under heaven.
You’re sooooooo wrong.
Radical Muslims are the snakes. Moderate Muslims are the grass.
I hope so.
