Hershey sues Colorado edible pot company
Seattle Times ^ | June 6, 2014 | By SADIE GURMAN

Posted on 06/07/2014 6:09:06 AM PDT by Oldeconomybuyer

The Hershey Co. has sued a Colorado marijuana edibles company, claiming it makes four pot-infused candies that too closely resemble iconic products of the chocolate maker.

The trademark infringement lawsuit was filed in U.S. District Court in Denver this week against TinctureBelle LLC and TinctureBelle Marijuanka LLC.

It alleges TinctureBelle's Ganja Joy, Hasheath, Hashees and Dabby Patty mimic Hershey's Almond Joy, Heath bar, Reese's peanut butter cups and York peppermint patty candies, respectively.

Read the article. A lot of bad things can happen when disguising it as candy.

When we were kids, we smoked Lucky Strike Candy cigarettes. Harmful?? Not anymore than putting sugar on your cereal.

Apparently the pot makers didn’t realize that the candy cartel is about as protective of its turf as are the Mexican drug cartels. Nestle, Hershey’s, Mars, etc. will sue at the drop of a hat.

You denigrate that which you do not understand.

You would deny the sick, suffering, and dying their choice of medicine with nazi death squads!

YOU are a MONSTER! This Literally IS the starve and poison granny and the orphans story and you just want to laugh as your POLICE STATE shreds the constitution.

How can we stop the nazis on the left when we have nazis on our right? What good does it do?

You choose everyone's medical options for them at the point of a gun.

Hussein chooses everyone's medical options for them at the point of a gun.

Cannabis prohibition was started for BAD REASONS! Stop being a crocodile, and living in denial!

Either we are free to make our own choices on medical treatments, or we are property of the state!

Are these real labels? They cross the line. A child looking at those wrappers coul easily mistake them for the candy bar. Besides which they aren’t clearly labels about marijuana content and that they can only be sold to adults.

Kids can't buy them at the stoner retail store...but if idiot mom or dad left one around the house...real easy..

And we should allow everyone access to all drugs. Meth is therapeutic to some. And others who have Sinus problems, need access to over the counter medicine without the need to ask the pharmacist and show their ID.

What kind of country is this anyway /s

Oh no...pot does NOTHING to your brain. It has NO effect at all on your body- that’s why everyone who likes it wants it in EVERYTHING. What happened to ‘medicinal’?? Isn’t THC in pill form good enough? Now taking SMOKE into your lungs isn’t effective enough, they have to EAT it too? If there is NO effect why find any and every way to ingest it?
This disgusts me. We each have ONE brain- one- that controls our entire body. Why do anything to alter it for entertainment purposes? Why ADD to the impaired by chemicals/alcohol problem? So pot candy and cookies and muffins will be ok to sell now? And kids will NEVER try the candy, right? Hershey should sue like crazy. The way it’s going POT will be protected in all forms, and the evil CANDY will be regulated as ‘bad for you’.

>"And we should allow everyone access to all drugs."

And you make yourself your brothers keeper when you choose for him. How dare you to legalize and trivialize away someone else's FREEDOM!

Our nation was founded without prohibition, and ran just fine till Carrie and the highway paving crew came to town.

Our govt is ARMING BOTH SIDES in the war on drugs! And you want to give the jackboots MORE POWER? Do you?

Legalization ENDS prohibition! There is no other solution. Prohibition just creates monsters and ruins lives!

All drugs should carry appropriate consumer information - alcohol, tobacco, pot - which is another reason they should be legalized; black market products are unregulated and have no consumer information.

The Obama administration banned flavored tobacco on the grounds that it might make it more palatable to kids/teens.

Of course, menthol was exempted from that ban.

Tobacco advertising is restricted from having cartoonish figures and other things.

Alcohol advertising is restricted in word and image too (not merely “health” claims but sex and other lures).

>" Overdose is quite possible..."

Quite, but also quite harmless. No one has EVER died from a cannabis OD. It's the safest drug EVER. Most people take it purely for the side effects.

Cannabis does not make anyone a criminal. The law does.

Reefer Madness was NOT an actual documentary.

Bad pot trip? Been scared a couple of times at the onset of some particularly potent stuff, nothing lifelong or permanent, but then again the pussies they raise today get an MRI every time they fall off the swing.

Are you a FREE Individual, or property of the state?

How long do you expect to remain free when you deem your brother to be property?

PS ask your Dentist if he would prescribe MJ if he could! He'd probably have it available for free in the lobby!

Hey BRANIAC Reefer Madness was an “adults only” exploitation movie that was made to show “naughty” business outside of the Hollywood censorship code.

It is paranoia to think that Refeer Madness and the other 1930s dope films represented ANY kind of drug paranoia.
