Residents in Auckland, New Zealand are questioning their councils decision to subsidize a one-day conference exploring queer polyamory relationships.
The Auckland Council, which serves New Zealands largest population, recently gave grants to various homosexual organizations, but it is the conference on polyamory that is causing a stir.
Entitled Poly Panel, Discussions around Queer Polyamory is described on GayNZ as a one day event exploring a framework of ethical, healthy polyamory relationships.
An advertisement for the event states: Along with questioning heteronormativity, many LGBTI people question monogamous marriages and relationships.
According to the advertisement, the event aims to break down some of the isolation and misunderstanding that sometimes surrounds non-monogamous (and polyamorous) relationships.

Why do they need to force others to pay for their perversion, do they think it shares the guilt with taxpayers when they do that?
I’m not homophobic but I am homonauseous.
I’m surprised they haven’t yet legalized interspecies marriage down there. All those sheep, you know.
Satan is loving using the queer / faggots / butt pirates / Homo-Nazis to further his agenda of destroying one of the cornerstones of society.
The sheep don’t want to marry an inferior species
Well, at least that’s money they can’t spend on military vehicles for no-knock drug raids. :)
It follows that the only way a bi-sexual can attain marital bliss is to marry two people, a man and a woman.
Clearly if we must allow homosexual marriages, then we must allow bi-sexual marriages.
Say a bi-sexual woman wants to marry a bisexual man and the bisexual man she marries is involved in a homosexual relationship with another man, then we would have to allow at least four adults in this marriage. And if the bisexual woman she wants to marry is in a heterosexual relationship with another man, then we’d have to add at least one more to this marriage in order to make this a true LGBT marriage.
Of course the animal lovers will be left out in the cold. That’s not fair.
so whats new about homosexuals in new Zealand...
during the 60s Wellington was the San Francisco of New Zealand...
While homosexuals weren’t welcome in Auckland or Christchurch, wellington was wide open with popular queer on every street...and the “girls” dressed to the nines at the better hotel bars...
they were not “hiding in the shadows”...
They were hanging out and entertaining at the queer follies...
Wellington was wide open with popular queer bars on every street...
Indeed. But maybe we could send Woody Allen down there?
I have to admit we were rolling In the aisles laughing at woody as shrink in love with the sheep. And the hotel room scene was classic!! Leaving aside all of woody’s personal life issues. he sure can do some very very funny films!
But hey....its Auckland, NZ. Have a friend from NZ. He claims its by far and away the most isolated, boring, place in the entire world!
They’ll do anything for entertainment! So, a conference on “how many lesbians does it take to change a cross-threaded light bulb”; followed by, “My Sheep and me and I”.
“ethical, healthy polyamory relationships”
‘HEALTHY’queer relationships? Try selling that to the epidemiologists at CDC.
