sorry, but we had a steadily expanding housing bubble for six years under Bush - a bubble that was bound to pop with disastrous consequences. And bush helped expand the bubble by actively promoting minority home-loan programs to lower lending qualifications . It was part of Rove’s plan to make Latinos into Republicans

Many people are still sitting on wealth because of investment in real estate. So it wasn’t all bad.

The bush people tried to reform the thing before it burst but the dems refused. When Obama started moving ahead because of media lies is when the bubble burst. the advent of a socialist Congress and president will do that.

Don’t recall Reagan ever blaming Carter, he fixed whatever mess was left over and went on to become a great president.

Obama ran out of excuses long before his first term ended. Re-election was entirely undeserved. Now his legacy will become that of the worst president ever. All he can avoid now is being run out of office.

Blaming Bush for all these problems is the same as blaming slavery for all problems. Same tactic for the same people who want to hear it.

I thought it was the democrat control of congress in ‘06 that brought on the financial crisis? Now you tell me Bush had control of the dems?

Back in the USSR, the new bosses always blamed the old bosses for any problems no matter how the problems came in to being.

The new fascist/communists are no different, the problem is no one in the conservative media calls the fascists out on this tactic.

He’s way in over his head and is desperate to shift the blame.

Blaming Bush ...

The way FDR - and Truman after him - blamed Hoover for the Depression. Of course, the fact that blaming Hoover wasn’t entirely fair, didn’t make Hoover a good president

Same with Bush. The fact Obama blames him for everything doesn’t mean Bush was a good president.

Good point. Reagan fixed Carter’s messes. Obama hasn’t fixed Bush’s messes.

The bush people tried to reform the thing

That’s a myth. Rove and Bush had a “making home ownership affordable” program that called for relaxing lending standards for poor people - part of Rove’s latino outreach plans. This allowed unqualified buyers to get into the housing market, over theiir heads, pushing up prices and setting us all up for a catastrophic bubble-burst

Google it.

Ah come on, give it a shot. Tell me the dems weren't in control of the congress the last 2 years of the Bush presidency. You can do it!

google, “making home affordable” - Bush’s program for no-down-payment homebuying for poor people. Started long before 2006, and helped ignite the housing bubble that led to the 2008 crash. THANKS GEORGE BUSH!
