Until the President of the United States got into that jet plane and personally took down the alien space craft, I enjoyed ID4.
I for one, welcome our new alien overlords.

No need for quarantine. The speed of light sets up a pretty insurmountable barrier to any contact between civilizations. If any others out there exist (and they probably do), it is unlikely there would ever be contact. The best we could hope for is some kind of radio contact. And limiting contact like that would probably be a good thing.
Or until the Vogon Constructor Fleet appears.
