Buddy Cianci (see-AN'-see) served two stints as mayor of Rhode Island's capital city, and both ended in felony convictions. Now he may try for a third. Cianci's charisma and shenanigans put him and Providence in the national spotlight - for good and ill - during his 21 years at the city's helm. He says he's leaning toward running again, 12 years after his conviction in a federal investigation into widespread corruption in his administration. Cianci says if he were mayor again, he could use his personality and experience to inject excitement back into the city. The mere discussion of a Cianci candidacy is dreaded in some quarters, as residents and others worry it will hurt the city's reputation. Cianci is deciding whether he would run as a Democrat or an independent. The filing deadline is June 25.

Mayor, hell, he could be the Democratic nominee for president and fit right in.
Little Rhode Island s just about the filthiest of the 50 states.Electing a convicted felon who ran as a Rat...or as an “independent” who supported the Rats (think Bernie Sanders) would be easy for such filthy people.
He came from Providence, 20 years ago...

(This is not a statement of fact. It is either opinion or satire; or both.)
That’s him, he also has or had a line of his own spaghetti sauce.

Didn’t a governor of Louisiana get reelected and serve his term of office along with his jail term? Who was that?
I've wondered more than once, but never got around to Googling, why the 'Family Guy' high school was named Buddy Cianci. Heh!
