The President's Very Real Military Problem [Military Loses Confidence in Commander-in-Chief!]

The President's Very Real Military Problem By Diane Dimond - June 7, 2014

The president of the United States is the commander in chief over all branches of the military. It is a historic time, given that no military member goes public to speak negatively about the ultimate commander.

But now, with the scandal in full bloom, after the administration's smokescreen about what triggered the deadly attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Libya, and after the president's tepidly received speech at West Point announcing diplomacy will replace military responses henceforth, the time for silence is over.

Now career military personnel are speaking out through gritted teeth, insisting they speak for active-duty personnel who cannot talk without being punished. They are speaking about injustice, ineptitude and impeachment.

The era of silence changed after President Barack Obama's super-secret prisoner swap -- five "high-risk" Taliban prisoners from Gitmo in exchange for one U.S. solider held for nearly five years in Afghanistan. The fact that the soldier, Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl, walked away from his unit leaving a note saying he was "disillusioned with the Army," did not support his commander in chief's mission in Afghanistan and was "leaving to start a new life" left military types stunned that the president would stage a Rose Garden ceremony with Bergdahl's parents.

"I'm just surprised the president was dumb enough to stand next to them," Maj. Mike Lyons told me. "It's another example of (Obama's) reading the tea leaves wrong."

And we have the gatekeepers, the opinion makers, and the sanctifiers who cannot abandon Obama because that would be to admit they got it all wrong. That means that the academic establishment which sanctifies liberalism and tells the young up-and-coming reporters in the media what is proper and what is beyond the pael.

The left has learned how to insinuate itself into every American institution and usually does so on the taxpayers' nickel. So when Columbia University School of Journalism turns out leftists who insinuate themselves into our print and electronic media, they go on to generate 40% of America who will support the left. If abortionists will always support the left, the left has infiltrated the National Council of Churches and the arguments over social values are lost there.

Somehow in academia, in our other institutions, or in the abortion mills themselves the left manages to be funded by the government

We are actually funding our political enemies.

No. While in the military, you respect the rank, not the person (good, bad or otherwise). Assholes will come and go within the ranks but if there is breakdown of discipline and rank is not respected it all goes to hell. I still have trust that the military is on our side. The bergdahl release was a slap in the face to every enlisted man and woman; that I am quite certain has the brass on pins and needles.

BS. If the military were awake the JCS would have resigned en masse years ago. Dempsey is a toad.

” I sure wouldn’t care to lay down my life for the likes of Obama, Hagel and Kerry, the Three Stooges of marxism, islamofascism and idiocy.”

Damn but I like that. So appropriate and so true. Unfortunately.

... We are actually funding our political enemies ...

So true, and it’s pervasive. Teacher unions. Public sector unions in general. Purchasing products advertised by media advocates who are against liberty. Going to movies produced by enemies of the republic. Buy GE light bulbs and Jeffrey Emelt has more campaign funds available.

We fund the left in almost everything we do because the left is so embedded in our culture.

This whole thing has got to be disastrous for morale in the military.

Personally I’d get out as soon as possible before I got double crossed by my own country!

But ... but ... I thought that the CoC will withdraw ALL troops from Afghanistan this year?

Would he lie again?

Timing. The Benghazi Committee is starting up. That’s why Obama had to release these five murderers.
The enemy is blackmailing Obama. They lose the ability to blackmail him if the Benghazi Committee discovers the blackmail.
The enemy is making Obama dance like a puppet with strings. Why else would Obama and Hillary make and release a commercial apologizing to the Moslems? The enemy was pulling their strings to see how far their little puppets would go. Here’s what the enemy found out.

Five billion dollars “missing” from the State Department.

American weapons, armored vehicles and night vision equipment shipped to Libya and left unguarded so that it could be “stolen”.

American weapons and Advisors helping the enemy in Syria.

Who knows what they’ll demand next? Rounding up the Jews?

Obama needs to resign so the blackmail can stop. That’s the first step.

I understand that sentiment, Steelfish. I’ve been at that point myself. I considered leaving my job working on launching systems for nuclear missiles in the early 70’s because it wasn’t “Christian”. Then I realized that, if we all did that, only non-Christians would be designing, building and launching our nuclear arsenal. What a terrifying thought! In the end, I believe it was the correct decision to stay. Each person in our great military must ask the same question I faced. All may not be called to stay, but if all leave, the results will be terrifying!

I think they lost confidence several years back, starting with the new rules of engagement in Afghanistan and Iraq.

The chit’s gonna fly eventually. When it does he certainly has the belief that ‘his girls’ will be well taken care of. Just who and how will that occur? One who really wants to know.

Hopefully more and more American people will lose confidence in BO’s ability and intent as CIC.

I’m just disgusted that no flag officers have come forward to denounce this insanity. Isn’t there one set of hairy sweaty balls left in those ranks, or is castration mandatory above 0-6?

Silence is no longer an option. The top military brass must resign en banc. The country comes first!
