Candy Crowley to McCain: Was Bergdahl “Less Worthy of Rescuing” Than You as a POW (Video)
Gateway Pundit | June 8 2014 | Rachel Pulaski

Posted on 06/08/2014 3:18:48 PM PDT by PoloSec

Today on CNN’s State of the Union, Candy Crowley compared former POW John McCain with the traitor and deserter Bowe Bergdahl.

She actually had the audacity to ask Sen. McCain if Bergdahl’s life was less worthy than his. While retelling the stories of Bergdahl’s desertion and conversion to Islam Crowley asked, “Does that make this young man less worthy of rescuing from his circumstances than the young John McCain as a POW?”

Via The Right Scoop:

Whatever you may think of McCain’s career as a Republican senator, it’s reprehensible to make a comparison between his captivity and Bergdahl’s desertion. When McCain was given the opportunity to leave the torture camp and go home in order to help his torturer’s propaganda campaign, he refused, saying he wouldn’t go unless every soldier captured before him were released as well. Meanwhile, six and possibly more soldiers died looking for Bergdahl after he walked out on them.

That Crowley would even dare ask such a question shows how little they understand or respect the military.

God has abandoned this country. It’s stupid beyond belief.

Actually we have abandoned God and are suffering the natural consequences, not the other way around.

We are doing this to ourselves because we have lost our way

Did we trade five top NVAZ and VC for McCain?

No?

Next question.

So Crowley was placing a moral equivalence on a Sailor shot down over Vietnam, tortured and placed in captivity by a enemy “country” with a deserter who fled his post to join with a group of terrorists?

McCain should have just said, “When I was in the military a deserter would be court martialed and shot, not returned a conquering a hero.”

No WONDER BenghaziBarrySoebarkah smiled as the words were spoken!

snip— “Clare Lopez is a former CIA operations officer, a strategic policy and intelligence expert with a focus on Middle East, national defense, WMD, and counterterrorism issues, and a friend of mine.

She emailed me this morning a very poignant analysis that only someone knowing language and Islam could ascertain. She wrote:

“What none of these media is reporting is that the father’s (SGT Bowe Bergdahl’s father Bob) first words at the WH were in Arabic – those words were “bism allah alrahman alraheem” – which means “in the name of Allah the most gracious and most merciful” – these are the opening words of every chapter of the Qur’an except one (the chapter of the sword – the 9th)

– by uttering these words on the grounds of the WH, Bergdahl (the father) sanctified the WH and claimed it for Islam. There is no question but POTUS knows this.”

Candy Crowley AND Bergdahl TOGETHER wouldn’t make a good pimple on McCain’s old, wrinkly a%%.

AND, I am not a fan of his politics either.

During the 2008 campaign, there was a FreeRepublic tribe of the McCain Deranged, who crapped daily on the young warrior.

Thank you for distinguishing between the POW and the politician.

When McCain was given the opportunity to leave the torture camp and go home in order to help his torturer’s propaganda campaign, he refused, saying he wouldn’t go unless every soldier captured before him were released as well.

It was Admiral Stockdale that ordered all POWs in the Hanoi Hilton to refuse any opportunities to go home unless all POWs were given the same opportunity. McCain was just following orders. Still it's reprehensible to compare the cause of his imprisonment with that of Bergdahl.

My God how they twist and turn every single event into some unrecognizable glob of goo! The question was never whether or not Bergdahl was worth rescuing. The question is and always should have been, was the price too high?

The answer to that, Candy is yes, yes, and hell yes the price was too high. To unleash five dangerous criminals on the public, to fund the Taliban for years to come, to all but hand over Fort Knox was too much to pay for any single life, ever.

Because now you’re ignoring the lives that will be lost in return for his. How many Candy are acceptable for this one guy, 10, 100, 1000? How many have to die so that Obama could aid and abet the enemy which is what he wanted to do from the beginning.

Stop covering up for Obama!

McCain erased the good he once did bowing to liberalism throughout his career. He is an idiot and IMO, likely went on that show just so Crowley could get that trial balloon out there.

Candy, McCain never trashed the US military or its mission. McCain didn’t accept favors from the enemy
