On Friday, House Majority Leader Eric Cantor released a memo detailing the June legislative agenda for the House of Representatives, and in doing so drove yet another final nail into immigration reforms already well-sealed coffin.
Cantors memo lays out the various bills and issues the House GOP plans to address over the next three weeks, and immigration is conspicuously absent. By leaving it off the agenda, Cantor has effectively cut in half the time available to the House to take up any reform proposals.
To recap: A bipartisan group of senators passed a comprehensive reform bill last June that has been gathering dust ever since. The House Republican leadership refuses to bring it to a vote. They also wont bring their own immigration principles up for a vote. Every few weeks or so they renew their verbal commitment to immigration reform, and then continue doing absolutely nothing. President Obama threatened to take executive action to limit deportations, but recently backed off that threat in order to give the Republicans the time and space they needed to bring up a bill.
Cantor, in leaving immigration reform off the June agenda, has made clear that time and space are not the issue. The GOP is just not going to take up immigration reform. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid has made clear that the window for action by the Republicans closes at the end of July, just before the August recess. At that point, everyone expects Obama to move forward on his own.

Those evil TEA partiers had something to do with this I bet
The House does NOTHING except protect the corrupt regime
as their tyranny leaves the borders open with salient signs
inviting in terrorists, while the State Dept and DO”J”
compete as to who can arm and protect the terrorists better.
Cantor is EXEMPT and protected.
His family is EXEMPT and protected.
His Staff is EXEMPT and protected.
THEY have all the time in the world
while they are EXEMPT.
What’s the left worried about? Hundreds cross the southern border daily anyway, many rape, murder, live off the taxpayer for everything.
Life for them is good. Immigration ‘reform’ for what? The status quo is just fine.
Let them in. Let them live in California, New York and the other bastions of liberalism. If libs love them so much, they will find jobs for them. Welcome them with open arms in Chicago.
Heck, if it doesn’t change the electoral outcome, who cares? Eventually red states will break off and for a more perfect union.
June is one-third over. If they're going to be discussing it 'in the weeks to come' then it's obvious they have no different policies and are just trying to run out the clock till the August recess. Just hold a couple of more meaningless votes to repeal it and call it a day where healthcare is concerned.
He already did that to rally Hispanics to vote in 2012.
They want them to be able to vote. Legally that is.
If God acts in mercy, He will give success to those wanting to restore our freedom. If He desires our just punishment, the enemies of freedom will prevail.
More likely truth: GOPe wimps make very temporary concessions to the right: New plan to make minor tweaks to Obamacare, delay immigration until after primaries.
The big O move forward? The marxist journalists would make him king. We will make him an unemployed king. We the people have had it with libtards.
