Thanks for the trenchant analysis, NYT.
The commies in the state controlled “media” working hard to defend their boy.
This unit actually served with honor and distinction,
unlike that traitor.
I hate liberals, I really do.
Gee, NYT, what is your source for this information?
Boy, this is from a playbook dating back to the Viet Nam War. Too bad Bruce Dern has gotten old. He could play all the various “psychos” in this unit. The psychos who risked their lives trying to find this bozo.
It kinda has that feel like the media is “blaming the rape victim.”
If you boys weren’t wearing those silly uniforms we (the lame stream media) wouldn’t have had to rape you, now you see that this is all your fault, right...we (the media) wouldn’t have had to rape you, but you wore those provocative uniforms and made us do it, so...it’s your fault. Now scamper along so we can continue to spin crazy without you confusing everyone with those pesky facts of yours.
It is time to treat the New York Times as you would any sworn enemy of America.
Whose fault is that? Isn't Obama the CIC who makes those types of decisions?
Even if I accept this story as true, so what?
Dopes being in a ‘raggedy unit’ exonerate a soldier from violating the code of conduct?
I am an American, fighting in the forces which guard my country and our way of life. I am prepared to give my life in their defense.
I will never surrender of my own free will. If in command, I will never surrender the members of my command while they still have the means to resist.
If I am captured I will continue to resist by all means available. I will make every effort to escape and to aid others to escape. I will accept neither parole nor special favors from the enemy.
If I become a prisoner of war, I will keep faith with my fellow prisoners. I will give no information or take part in any action which might be harmful to my comrades. If I am senior, I will take command. If not, I will obey the lawful orders of those appointed over me and will back them up in every way.
When questioned, should I become a prisoner of war, I am required to give name, rank, service number, and date of birth. I will evade answering further questions to the utmost of my ability. I will make no oral or written statements disloyal to my country and its allies or harmful to their cause.
I will never forget that I am an American, fighting for freedom, responsible for my actions, and dedicated to the principles which made my country free. I will trust in my God and in the United States of America.
These “reporters” will receive a medal from Obama and a special audience with him during which they will be allowed to worship their god in person.
One of their condemnations of the unit was that they wore bandanas in the defensive trenches.
Whoa. Those dudes were out of control.
^ [[SARCASM ALERT]] ^
Once again, the NYT goes for party over country.
Help me out here: Is Bergdahl the only US Serviceman to be captured during the entirety of our involvement in Afghanistan? Doesn’t that suggest that there is something odd at work here?
The NYT: acting as a stenographer for the White House at least since 2008.
Spitting in the wind. As evidenced by the total misreading of the situation by Obama & his thug advisors, there are still a LOT of folks in this country who love and value the guys in the military. Trying to “blame” them in any way is also going to backfire. After seeing men from the deserter’s platoon on TV and hearing their side of the story, these slugs in the media can spin all they want .... what they are saying/doing is a great way to lose “friends” and make enemies .... they’re reaffirming their role as the enemedia.
As for Obama, he has also affirmed what he is with this total slip of the ‘mask’ .... at best he’s a Muslim/AQ sympathizer and doesn’t give a d@mn about our military (VA mess, turning AQ lose to kill our troops)and he’s violated his oath of office many times .... at worst, he’s a traitor to the country. Frankly, I’m not seeing much difference between the two these days.
I just love the upper west side types holding their nose in the air and looking down their nose at those who served.
Kinda reminds one about how the NYT treats women. Just ask Jill Abramson.
This message is being crafted by the “dudes” in the WH, and spoon-fed to their “friends” in the media.
Having seen and heard these soldiers who speak out; they demonstrated they are not ignorant; I suspect they expected this kind of treatment from the communists.
