Obama is driving the country to ruin
NY Post ^ | June 7, 2014 | Michael Goodwin

If you think of the United States of America as a store, its recent decisions and scandals resemble a sale, perhaps a fire sale. Or maybe even a “Going Out of Business” sale.

The list of dramatic markdowns is breathtaking. They include trading away five murderous terrorists for a likely Army deserter, an open invitation to tens of thousands of illegal immigrants to cross the Mexican border, and a decision to recognize the terrorist group Hamas as part of the Palestinian government.

On the home front, environmental regulations will cost thousands of coal miners their jobs and drive up the cost of electricity for millions. The ObamaCare mess is hardly resolved, and the Veterans Affairs scandal keeps getting worse. The acting agency head reported the deaths of 18 more vets who were kept off the official waiting list in Phoenix.

Ticking quietly in the background is the mother of all threats — an Iranian nuclear bomb. That ticking grew louder last week as the ayatollah mocked our nation by standing in front of a banner that proclaimed, “America cannot do a damn thing.”

Technically, he’s wrong. It’s not that we cannot stop the mad mullahs’ march. It’s that President Obama has taken the military option off the table, and without it, Iran has nothing to fear. Ours was a choice.

I cannot believe that our founding fathers in their great wisdom did not make fail safe provisions to save our Republic from tyrannical forces. I read of a USMC group charged with protecting our Constitution but they must be but a rumor. We are under attack and my heart breaks for our younger generations who will have clean-up.

This is what happens when the SRM is cheerleading for an imposter rather than thoroughly vetting a candidate.

Let's not forget who put the SOB in office. Females will also go rabid for Hitlery. For Obama, it was a sexual fantasy with a black man thing for females that turned them into Obamabots. For Hitlery it will be the 'giant women's club' cathartic effect, ganging up on men and feeling the power of their numbers against men.. Ugg!!!!

The female voter destroyed America. The female voter is the enemy of America. This enemy cannot be stopped. The entire world will collapse because no one can stop females from being the enemy of the rule of law. Females ARE the enemy of the rule of law!!

The female voter destroyed America.

That pic pretty much sums things up...Corrupt and evil men were more than happy to accommodate them.

Sort of to your point.....

Ø is but a symptom of an illiterate electorate. This cancer will remain after the present tumor is excised. Gonna take more than waving signs to fix this mess.

. . . and a lot of Democrats are unhappy because the speed isn’t fast enough to suit them.

A Special Prosecutor, appointed by......?

The Just-Us Department isn’t going to do any such thing.

What it will take is when Obama is taken into custody by the Sergent at Arms of the House of Representatives.

The next Republican president sure has their work cut out for them.

I’ll bet not even many liberals could name even one thing Obama has made better.

Couldn't the HOR imprison those who refuse to testify or give false testimony to the unending parade of impotent committees to study outrages?

Could the HOR have charged hillary, Susan Rice and Lois Lerner among others and jailed them for refusing to testify or for false testimony? I'd think that would be a way to DO SOMETHING....make it real uncomfortable for Obama's inner circle who are implementing these unconstitutional orders.

Obama can’t help what he is. Leftist intellectuals have been working for decades to create people like Obama.

And he or she had better damn well understand intellectual war that's being fought.

We don't need any more shallow nice guys like Bush.

It's going to take someone that sees the big picture to root out the radical leftists that control so many aspects of society.

The terrible thing is that Obama is still enthusiastically supported by a large part of the US population. They just showed the movie, ‘Judgement at Nuremberg’ on a local TV station. I know someone will invoke Gresham’s law but the situation here has a lot of parallels to Germany and Hitler in the 1930’s.

I have to agree. It's frightening how many Obama true-believers there still are.

Yep.

Leaders on the right are going to have to suddenly become experts in deprogramming and counter-insurgency if we're going to fix this mess.

I agree with you. The next republican president needs to be another great communicator like Reagan was. People are to ignorant to realize the liberties that are being stolen from them by the left. Someone who can reach out the LIVs and bring them back to a little common sense.

I agree with you. The next republican president needs to be another great communicator like Reagan was.

Another great thing about Reagan was his ability to connect the difficult experiences people were going through with government over-reach.

A big problem with the conservative movement today is that we have plenty of conservatives that know the slogans, but don't know the origin of the slogans -- why the principles work.

This is especially a problem when reaching out to the young. To them, freedom and liberty are empty words without any connection to everyday life.

I see this all the time on The Five when there are discussions about economics. They go on as if the government has nothing to do with the difficulties people have finding jobs. That if the unemployed just "buck up" or "knuckle down" they can succeed like everyone else.

Well if that's true then why the hell do we bother going after Democrats' economic policies? If we're all living in some hunky-dory free market capitalist utopia, then why change anything? Or worse, if we tell people that we have a free market and we're a capitalistic economy and yet people are in rotten shape economically, then their answer is to reject capitalism!

Of course we don't have a free market. At this point we genuinely have a democratic socialist system. There's no aspect of the economy where the Federal Government doesn't have the final say. They have control -- and they're farking it up! The answer isn't to give them even more power.

And it's not just the Federal Government. We have to talk about State and Local Government, too. They create plenty of economic inflexibility.
