So what? Do you have any evidence that they deployed that method to gain control of Michael Hastings’ car?
You do know that they can’t just “hack” into any old vehicle, and the method that was demonstrated would have required them to have prior, physical access to the vehicle, right?
I wonder what Hastings was writing about that caused his death….but I'm not getting a connect to the Bergdahl story. Perhaps.

No, just someone who actually has read what the “car hacking” the conspiracy theorists talk about actually entails. Here’s a NY Times article on it:

You can see from that article that scientists just performed some tests which showed it was possible, but “no such takeovers have been reported in the real world”. Also, though they figured out several methods to “hack” the car, they noted “This report explores how hard it is to compromise a car’s computers without having any direct physical access to the car”. They did not find some easy method to take over a car and crash it remotely without somehow gaining access to compromise the car beforehand. In fact, they didn’t even try to gain control of the car in their experiments, the furthest they got was gaining access to systems that an OnStar type service would, like unlocking doors and starting the engine:
“The researchers declined to speculate about the worse situations, such as interfering with a vehicle’s control system to make it crash.”

Hey, remind me again... what’s the link to your investigative report on the Hastings car crash? You did do some type of actual investigation, and found evidence of foul play, right? You’re not just going around calling people idiots for pointing things out to you just based on a theory you have, are you?
He also got a in the middle of the night and that's why he was out. Geesh. Can you prove he WASN"T killed??? Of course not, and neither can I, but I have a LOT more to base my suspicions on.
