Joe Carr has picked up more endorsements from fellow state legislators, announcing it in an email that brags that Tennessee is the next Mississippi:
The Joe Carr for Senate Campaign today announced the endorsements of East Tennessee Representatives Tony Shipley (R-Kingsport), Timothy Hill (R- Blountville), and Micah Van Huss (R- Jonesborough)....
"During our time in the House, I got to know Joe Carr as my widely respected colleague," Rep. Timothy Hill said. "He is a true fighter for our conservative values and will do just what he did in the State House when he gets to the US Senate, stand strong for Tennesseans and their values. We know Washington isn't working for us anymore. Joe will be a part of the leadership that will bring our nations healing, not be part of the problem."

We hope.
I hope. When is Tennessee’s primary? Still a ways off right?
Maybe we should wait to see how Mississippi turns out before making this statement.
Maybe not exactly next. I hope there are a few good results between now and the Tennessee primary. That’s not until August.
August 7th
Not likely at all. Unfortunately Tennessee doesn’t have a primary runoff system. So whoever gets a plurality of the votes in the primary wins....period.
The latest poll has McDaniels up by about 5%.
There’s time for momentum if Carr can lock up a few more endorsements, coming off a McDaniel win and a Shannon win in Oklahoma.
Also, with regard to Milton Wolf in Kansas, I thought this race was pretty much over and wasn’t amazingly put out about it, but I’ve been hearing a lot of stuff about Wolf securing more endorsements from state officials than Roberts, winning every straw poll held, and also that Roberts had tried to get some sort of signature drive going that ended in an embarrassing failure. Does Wolf have a chance? He’s an untested candidate who has made big missteps, but he would be a much more vocal conservative than Roberts ever is or was.
Yeah, I won’t place bets on Carr winning either. TN is notorious for electing moderate Republicans.
Tell me about it. I’ve lived her 25 years.
