Fiasco: White House rumblings indicate that the soldier five Taliban terrorists were traded for may never face a court-martial. Meanwhile, a 2016 Democratic presidential contender says, "It doesn't matter." It doesn't?
Former Democratic Secretary of State Hillary Clinton told ABC's Diane Sawyer in an interview, part of which aired Friday, that the details of how alleged deserter Bowe Bergdahl wound up in the hands of the Taliban are irrelevant, that "one of our values is we bring everybody home off the battlefield the best we can. It doesn't matter how they ended up in a prisoner-of-war situation."
That "it doesn't matter" is a grim reprise of her infamous "what difference does it make" remark during the hearings on Benghazi, a terrorist battlefield from which we didn't bring everyone home alive, and didn't even make an effort to try to help.
Never mind that a prisoner of war is normally considered someone captured on a field of battle in a firefight and not someone who was arguably frustrated with the war and decided to clear his head with an unarmed stroll through the Afghan countryside, actively looking for those who would hold him captive for five years.
Sen. John McCain, R-Arizona, was a prisoner of war. Bowe Bergdahl was not.
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., used Clinton's exact line Thursday to defend Obama's failure to obey the law in notifying Congress about the swap.
Reid said, "What difference does it make?" about when Congress was notified of the prisoner swap.
Despite the uncontestable fact that Bergdahl walked away from his post in time of war, leaving his weapon and gear behind, and the unanimous statements of those who served with him and over him and those who tried to find him, the administration will not say whether Bergdahl...

I’d be more worried about pardons for Lois Lerner and Eric Holder, in light of today’s revelations that the IRS sent 1.1 million taxpayer documents to the FBI for perusal.
And they may give him $300,000 in back pay.
I hate this ef’ing beeeeeeeatch! What difference does it make? It makes a hell of a lot of difference.....now every military member has a dollar sign on their back thanks to this “swap”.....
Speaking of which (sealed records), has Sec. of State John Kerry released his yet as he promised?
A secret pardon would be best.
When something is transparent you can’t see it.
And we've left plenty of deserters behind. I know there were several during Korea. During WWII the nickname was the "lost division" of guys who just dissappeared, although I think very few if any defected to the Germans.
There’s no pardoning Obama’s treason.
I agree, it'll work out much better for 0bama, no heat for a pardon.
He won’t need the pardon. He will be discharged in about 6 to 9 months, when the media has forgotten the story.
He will never be heard from by the general public, and will never see a military court.
This is being quietly swept under the rug by the powers that be.....even as I type.
These idiots are running our country.
If I was a liberal in 2014, I’d be laughing and pissing in everyone’s face too.
Bergdahl ping.
“It doesn’t matter how they ended up in a prisoner-of-war situation.”
Progressives have absolutely NO MORAL COMPASS WHATSOEVER. NONE. ZERO. The very concept of a moral compass completely escapes them at all times. It literally isn’t part of their DNA.
Right and wrong are TOTALLY fluid to them. They’ll tell you it’s all about “context” but in the end, in their minds, there really is no such thing as wrong.
Moreover, this deserter is a HERO to them.
These people are the very definition of reprobates.
Bingo! I guarantee you that Obama has already ordered the military and the MSM to completely drop this affair. It never happened.
Jedi mind trick number 74,976,488.
Killary lives up to her “name”!!!
Well said, they have no concept of something simple being right or wrong.
If he didn’t do anything wrong how could they pardon him?
How does this apply to Chris Stevens and the others? Why can't Diane Sawyer ask that?
What talking points? He hasn't even talked to his parents.
