MADISON, Conn. (PIX11) – A beachgoer thought she was stopping a disturbing crime in progress, but instead found herself in handcuffs.

When Andrea Mears saw a man piloting a drone at a public Connecticut beach, she thought he was surreptitiously taking pictures of bikini-clad women, so she called the police.

It’s amazing, the newswomen are amused about the guy getting beaten, and then seem bothered that it was the nut case woman who went to jail, and then they pretty much endorsed more beatings.

The nut case was disturbed because of alleged bikini photography, yet she herself was not bikini-clad... nor, imho, would be bikini-acceptable.

Verdict: Guilty, first degree.

The guy was doing nothing illegal. He was doing nothing immoral.

The crazy women who beat him up, on the other hand, was behaving immorally and illegally.

The victim handled it right - he didn’t hit back but instead restrained her and recorded it all. If he hadn’t had a means to record the incident he would be sitting in jail right now while the psycho bitch that went off on him would be bragging to her other crazy chick friends how she beat a guy up and got away with it.

“Sorry about that, wrong thread. :-)”

It’s OK. I think we have all done that at one time or another.

Sometimes it makes for very amusing replies, depending on the context they get accidentally inserted into.

Luckily, I can’t think of anything related to a Kennedy and immoral acts.

If the “man” the media is reporting looks young, he is, he is either 16 or 17 and a remote aircraft fan.

Young teen boy, and that strangely clad and booted woman on the beach, and the story is being reported like a 1939 Nazi paper reporting an attack on a Jew.

This is disturbing coverage.

What part of PUBLIC beach does the dimbroad not understand? If one does not want to be photographed in a bikini on a public beach then do not wear one in public.

It’s a really simple concept. Public = public and private = private.

Wishful thinking.

Reminds me of an incident of long ago across from the foot of the lily pond in San Diego’s Balboa Park. I was about 50 feet away standing under an arcade opposite the foot of the aforementioned lily pond. I was looking through the viewfinder of my camera, framing possible photos. While doing this a woman strode into my field of view 50 feet away, near the pond. Suddenly she stared at me and shouted: “Don’t take any pictures of me!” I quickly called back that I was not taking any pictures of her but merely framing possible pix even before she entered the scene. She then demanded that I leave or she would call police. I told her to call the police and that I would not be moving because I had done nothing wrong. She summoned police and soon an officer showed up. The first thing he did was demand the film from my camera. I said I was not giving it up and that I had taken no photos of the woman nor had I any intention of doing so. I also expressed the opinion that she might be deranged. The officer then told me to move on, a violation of my right to be there, but I decided that since I would have left by then had the screwy woman not created this incident, it was the better part of valor for me to leave, which I did.

When they tell you to move on, you have to move on, they get paid no matter what and they will arrest you, take you to the station, impound your car, let you endure a night in the drunk tank, the fees, bail bonding, probably a day of work, if you are poor with no savings, it can mean losing your car to the fees, losing your job, and several days in jail which of course in some cases when all put together, can mean losing your apartment.

They will do all this with no interest in whether you are convicted of anything or not, that wasn’t the point, the punishment was just taking you in to ruin your week.

At what point did common remote-controlled aircraft that hobbyists have been flying in public places for years become drones?

The beatings will continue until morale improves.

So she is upset at “drones” but ignores the thousands of iPhones walking past her with Facetime on?

a disturbing crime in progress..

Photographing bikini-clad women on a public beach using a drone is not a crime.

Now, if the guy had been wearing Google glasses...
