A Texas court ruled Thursday to overturn the conviction of former House Majority Leader Tom DeLay (R-Texas), who was found guilty of money laundering in 2010.

According to KHOU 11 and the Associated Press, the Third Court of Appeals in Austin said the case's evidence was "legally insufficient to sustain DeLay's convictions," formally acquitting the former congressman on charges of money laundering and conspiracy to commit money laundering.

Tom Delay would be an outstanding Speaker.

Together with Ted Cruz as President and Mike Lee as Senate Majority Leader, there will be incredible needed reforms made.

If anyone knows if Tom will be running, please post here.

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

All excellent choices.

Excellent quote:

The loss to leadership speaks to a broader defeat for the Republican establishment. “Those who thought the tea party had been absorbed just got a big wake up call,” says Republican strategist Alex Castellanos. “It’s alive and well and eating elite establishment Republicans for breakfast.”

A good choice also, but the more I think about it, the more I like the idea of a non-Representative as the Speaker. It brings another solid Conservative to the national picture, and allows the Representatives to do their jobs better.

I would rather have Gowdy kick ass and take names in his district and on his committees, and leave the heavy lifting of the Speaker to someone with real experience and gravitas.

Hell, Sarah Palin for Speaker!!!!!!!!!!! Wouldn’t that be something?

How about a guy with some great experience in the job? Gingrich!!

Newt got rolled by Clinton too many times.

As an idea guy he is great but he just lacks the "stick to it" that is necessary.

You KNOW I’m with you on that, dear leader!

40 YEARS in the desert, and Newt kicked it and took names on both sides of the aisle, all the way to an upset victory for majority! It cost him. RINO revenge hated a winners with brains.

Yeah!

Or maybe one of his buddies like Abramoff, Reed, or Norquist!

Whoopee! If the Democrats are going to have criminals represent them in Congress, why not Republicans as well?
