The conservative economics professor topples the House Majority Leader in a stunning upset
The bespectacled college professor who toppled House Majority Leader Eric Cantor in a Republican primary Tuesday earned a masters of divinity from Princeton with a thesis on the philosophical doctrine of logical positivism. He was a rare breed of giant slayer: the kind that nobody saw coming.
God acted through people on my behalf, Dave Brat told Fox News after his win. The issue is the Republican Party has been paying too much attention to Wall Street, and not enough attention to Main Street.
When the votes were counted, he had racked up 56% of the vote in Virginias Seventh District, besting the No. 2 House Republican by about 7,000 votes.

I guess the pundits were right again — the Tea Party is dead./s
Dave Brat’s unabashed praising of God in his victory speech shows that he has his priorities right. He’s a good man and his service will honor the Lord.
Elsewhere I read that there is no Democrat running for this seat.
Frankly, I'm glad Cantor will not be re-elected. Many people do not know this, but he goes to the Bilderberg meetings.
This is a safe republican district. That’s why Cantor turned left on immigration and fiscal policies. He thought he could get away with it.
Brat will face another Prof. From the same college that he teaches at in the general election
Fox News said that there is another professor running as a Demcratic candidate.
A glimmer of hope and I sure hope and pray for this nation and the world.
Jarret must be a little more concerned, at this time.
I’ll bet he secretly goes to Starbucks as well.
Cantor defeated himself by not vacating his house seat willingly to David and taking on Mark Warner for the Senate. He would have had a very good shot at moving into the upper chamber but preferred being Boehner’s lackey.
Thanks for posting for the WINNER!!! Celebrate and tool this man up for battle!!!

We need to avoid rhetoric that pits Wall Street against Main Street. That’s a socialist class warfare formula. We can attack “left wing billionaires” because we would be focusing on their ideology rather than their wealth.
I picked up on that as well. I am not big on populist rich bashing against “fat cats” etc. Let’s hope that is not what he represents. We’ll see. Glad to see Cantor go
Cantors favorite Starbucks drink is a rasberry peppermint mocha with an add shot and extra whip no dairy.
He’ll have more time to enjoy it now.
LOL! So do I and my family, but it means nothing.
