Cantor's Graceless 'Concession Speech'

House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-VA) failed to congratulate or even acknowledge Dave Brat in his concession speech last night.

Neither did Cantor offer Brat his support in November's general election against his Democratic opponent, or call Brat to concede the race, according to Brat.

"Cantor's concession speech did not mention Dave once," Brat's campaign manager Zach Werrell noted to Breitbart News.

The clip of Cantor I saw sounded OK...I did not know he did not mention Dave Brat even once. The main issues at this point are whether he will support or undermine Brat in the general election, and whether he will step aside as Majority Leader and let a better person take over.

Reportedly he spent $5 million to Brat's $100,000. If correct that is a 50-1 ratio.

And the threads are already loading up with GOPers demanding ‘that’ gets supported in other places as usual.

Absolute morons I swear.

GOPe would rather see a democrat win...

This will be a national election in the state of McAwful, with money flooding in from all states for the rat candidate. GOPe will stiff Brat, hoping they can blame a lost seat on the Tea Party again.

They can “demand” all they want brother. All that matters is what YOU and I do after we walk into the voting booth, on our appointed days.

And nobody can do a damn thing about it.

I won’t vote for RINOs to maintain the status quo. The status quo is the erasure of my Nation, and that is unacceptable.

Last night gave our cause a boost for sure. And I agree that only the booth matters. But none of us can ignore or forget the fear job they ran on conservatives last time. The gop plants on FR are never going to stop scamming the posters and filling their heads with mush.

The plants need to hear a message loud and clear from us all...lurkers included.

FOAD.

I was happy to see Cantor defeated, but I don’t think you are at all correct about what the GOPe wants. All they want to do is maximize the odds of someone with an R after his name winning a race.

Except that Cantor and the GOPe are NOT happy with Cantor's loss.  In fact they are so unhappy, that they won't congratulate his opponent.  They won't wish him success.  There will be absolutely not one penny of support from GOPe affiliated donors.  If this guy wins, he'll have to do it all on his own with his own organization.  So in light of this, I think even you have to admit the GOPe talks out of both sides of it's mouth.  Sure it wants an (R) majority, but only if that (R) majority will go along to get along.

Look at the current Speaker of the House.  If Boehner isn't the classic go along to get along, I've never seen one.  And the GOPe and the RNC are both absolutely thrilled with him.

I'm from California.  When we get good solid Conservative cadidates out here, there's not one dime of support from the RNC affiliate in state or from the East Coast.

The GOPe send their East Coast buds out here for $10,000 a plate funraisers, and spend every dime of it out of state supporting Leftist candidates.

I would say if anything, that Conservatives are FAR more likely to say they’d rather see a Democrat win a race than a Republican they don’t approve of.

Here's my premise on this.  As long as someone is speaking out on sound policy, I don't mind too much if a Democrats wins an election.  Why, because the RINO would vote the same as they would most of the time anyway.  When their failed policies are seen for what they are, people will eventually vote against them.  And then a sound man gets the position.  Putting a Leftist Republican in there means an almost solid lock on the position for decades.  And then they vote with the Democrats anyway.

Look at the House right now.  We can't get anything decent done.  Why?  We have the majority.  Is it doing us any good?  Heck no.  I'm sick of this rot.

I don’t consider the concession speech he was FORCED to make was ‘graceless’ in an intentional manner.

i am just glad he didn't pull a Boehner and start weeping...

Just like a true spoiled liberal.

The GOPe are nothing but liberals who don’t like paying taxes.

“Did he give the speech in Spanish?”

Don’t know about that, but a group of illegal enablers (or illegals themselves) left the shadows and showed up at his campaign HQ last night expressing the love & family values for which they are known while demonstrating & making shrill demands, etc.—and they received some rough handling from Cantor’s beeber-stuned campaign drones.
They probably wanted to know what they were getting for their “campaign contributions” vis a vis La Raza, US Chamber of Commerce, SEIU, et al.
Cantor & Co. got a taste of the frustration the rest of the country has been feeling for the last ten years.
Good! Hasta la vista, looser.

Cantor is the same guy that the used car salesmen did not trust because he lied to much.

Utter BullC*ap.

The GOPe absolutely loathes Conservatives.

Have you not been reading the news the past few years?

At every turn the GOPe tries to destroy Conservatives, even after they win a primary challenge.

Do you not remember the Va Govenors race?

In Indiana in 2012, we primaried Richard Lugar. He lost and set out to undermine and purposely see to it Mourdock lost. Granted, Mourdock made a stupid muistake, but he didn’t lose because of that. He lost because Lugar’s minions had a big campaign to make sure Lugar’s loss was avenged, even if a democrat won.

Being a Representative in the House should be more like jury duty. Serve and go home. It wasn’t meant to be a life career.

I guess we know why he lost...he’s a horse’s ars. So much for career pols, the founders envisioned this kind of outcome.

I thought Frank Luntz was PATHETIC on Charlie Rose this morning. He answered 3 questions the same way...that this upset was BAD for America. Sheesh, Luntz is a putzhead.

This out come is GREAT for America, it’s new blood in the house and purging a finger in the wind guy is fabulous.
