Posted on 06/11/2014 1:43:25 PM PDT by Lorianne
Given how savagely anti-gay the mainstream Oklahoma Republican party is, its no surprise that the states Tea Partiers are so rabidly hateful that they come across more as dark satire than as serious bigots. To wit: This week, an Oklahoma magazine discovered that last summer, Tea Party state House candidate Scott Esk endorsed stoning gay people to death: I think we would be totally in the right to do it, he said in a Facebook post. Esk went on to add nuance to his position:
That [stoning gay people to death] goes against some parts of libertarianism, I realize, and Im largely libertarian, but ignoring as a nation things that are worthy of death is very remiss.
When a Facebook user messaged Esk to clarify further, he responded:
I never said I would author legislation to put homosexuals to death, but I didnt have a problem with it.

You posted from Slate.
Yea? But they are teeny tiney stones.
Apparently neither of them read John 8:1-11.
That’s what Sharia Law is for.
Hey hey, ho ho, stoning gays has got to go.
Just make it a misdemeanor again, that’s all.
Of course, the queers would think that is as bad as stoning. Heck, not making a “wedding” cake for them is like stoning them.
Another dem plant. Not newsworthy, and the fact its on a rag like Slate tells you a lot.
I have my doubts about the TEA Party, but Muzzies sure don’t like fudge-packers and probably wouldn’t hesitate to chuck a couple of rocks at one.
So? Other people post from Slate as well. Plus this has been reported on other sites.
Did he say it or not?
Lets be honest, if homos like Dan Savage had the chance, would they stone Christians to death?
Wanting gays to keep their private lives private is one thing. Wanting them executed is a whole other matter.
so ALL tea party people must support that!!!
-or- he’s a muslim
Maybe he just meant supplying them with marijuana . . .
What difference does it make?
Maybe he should stone his own. LiberTopians are 'largely' responsible for the homo advocacy movement.
If there is a group claiming to be tea party supporting him, then that’s a problem ... and not just for that group.
I want to find out more
Its a plant for crying out loud. Couldn’t be more obvious.
Well, they’ve stopped the bullying.
And the number of queers grows.
So if we stone ‘em...
Sure sounds like it.
He is not a dem plant. He plainly states that he is a libertarian.
Like the Dylan song?
Or the bumper sticker: `Get Stoned. Drink Wet Cement.’?
Hoemoesectshoealists have gotta grow a sense of humor.
Absolutely humorless, the cock-knockers.
I don’t think he understands what he is saying when he claims allegiance to Libertarians.
I think Thomas Jefferson would not be on board with this. Except maybe on a Navy Vessel. Jefferson was a man of his time after all and buggery would get you hanged on-board a Navy Vessel.
Even if somebody was for that, they wouldn’t state it on a campaign trail.
Also, the Democrats have NEVER used libertarian plants? umm... Sarvis?!
Can you supply some evidence that he is a dem plant?
I really hope you are right on this but I need some evidence.
Now that Cantor got beat look for more and more “stories” like this from the public relations wing of the Democrat Party (lamestream media)
Kind of like the Clown supporting the murder of newborns meant to be aborted, or the snipping of the brain stem of a child whose head is still in the birth canal? That kind of sick, right?
I will say right now that I vehemently oppose the above actions AND I likewise oppose the stoning of homosexuals.
And most Tea Party folk do, too.
You liberals are REALLLLLY stretching, aren’t ya?
I don’t know why, but your comment made me think of Bishop Fulton Sheen’s comments about listening to nuns’ confessions.
it was like being stoned to death with popcorn.
Not a plant...he’s a libertarian. I know many self described libertarians and I can’t repeat some of the things I’ve heard them say here.
we should post as many anecdotes as possible about kook democrats in office.
I guess he did. If you say so.
And if you want to post anti-Tea party crapola from Slate as if it were (hopefully) true, then....
The evidence is incidental. NO candidate, even a dominionist, if they were for such a thing would state it on the campaign trail for such a race. I speak as someone who has seen a lot of dominion theology media and interviews and such. They’re ideologically committed, but realistic about their desire to use stealth to advance their agenda.
This is not their MO. This is the MO of a libertarian plant being used by the rats just like they did in Virginia
The only reason this would be posted is to paint conservatives as dominionists.
I really hope you are right on this but I need some evidence.
I don’t think you need evidence. You WANT to believe this, dontcha?
This guy is”Tea Party”like I’m from The Moon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I don’t have a problem with libertarians as a whole. We’re simply not going to win without them and that’s all there is to it so we better find the ones we can deal with.
Well I find it preposterous too, that’s why I asked for evidence.
Somebody is supporting this guy. Anyone know who?
I’ve seen this from Slate, Salon, HuffPo and they all claim he’s part of the Tea Party.. But I’ve yet to come across anything where he claimed he was Tea Party.
I’m won’t go so far to say it doesn’t exist, I’m sure I didn’t see everything, but this smells like a smear campaign.
No, I won’t get lost, but I will ask a favor from you.
The next time (if you get a next time) you post anti-Tea party crapola from some leftist site believing it to be true, ping me willya?
I love a good zot.
Another dem plant.
I think you are probably right on that, if the report of what he said is accurate.
I agree with you. This is one of the most bizarre threads I’ve seen of FR in years.
It’s in the news.
It’s on OK tv news!
Are we just supposed to pretend it’s not there?
If we don’t confront it, it doesn’t exist?
I have never understood this attitude here at FR that if you just ignore what is out there that it doesn’t exist. It’s the most bizarre thing.
Ok whatever, don’t investigate, don’t find out anything, always be fighting a rear guard action because you’re days behind ... good grief
The chances of anyone getting stoned in today’s moral cesspool are slight, unless the Muslims take power. The big problem today is homosexual recruitment of kids from dysfunctional families.
Of course, the Tea Party is a grass-roots, bottom-up movement, so it's hard to say just who is and who isn't a member, but it ought to take something more than just arbitrarily pinning the label on somebody to make a real connection.
The article is a smear from Mark Joseph Stern, who Andrew Sullivan (of all people) called, "the gay politburo official at Slate."
How often have we seen this headline? "'Occupy Wall Street' Protests Turn Violent"
PRO-GOVERNMENT EXTREMISTS are violent, dangerous people.
It continues.. the mob violence including even muggings, knockout game, mob attacks, murders, beatings.. and no wonder look at the wicked hatred coming out of the White House, the Congress, the MSM, academia against those "who have too much" and how things should be more fair. How "they" stole "the people's" property.
Everyday whether it be "immigrant rights" or "civil rights" the pro-government extremists are incited to violence out of being a "victim."
The employees of the MSM like MSNBC or Slate don't have to tell the pro-government extremists to inflict pain and suffering on the "haves" and take back the "stolen" goods. The pro-government extremists cheered on by the White House, the Congress, the MSM, academia to get even gladly do the bidding of the Obama government, the MSM, academia . . . .
