Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) called for the repeal of every blessed word of ObamaCare in a fiery speech to a crowd of conservatives in Texas on Friday.
Speaking at the Texas Republican Convention, the potential presidential contender hit on a number of conservative issues in a campaign-style speech that was punctuated by cries of, Run, Ted!
"Today liberty is under assault like never before," Cruz told the crowd, according to the Houston chronicle. "And again today Texans will stand up and lead the fight for freedom."
Cruz spoke prior to another presidential prospect, Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.). Although the two would likely be fierce rivals if they ran, Cruz said he was part of a long line of Texans that have always led the fight for freedom, including Gov. Rick Perry (R).
He also called for an audit of the Federal Reserve, the abolition of the Internal Revenue Service and declared a need to defend all of the Bill of Rights, an apparent reference to the debate over gun control.
"There's a whole lot of mischief going on in Washington right now," he said.
You gotta give it to Cruz. He didn’t come to Washington to blend in. His “compass” is not the least bit effected by the magnetic pull of DC.
Four Words. Every.. Word.. Of.. It.
They should be the rally cry of every Tax Paying American in 2014 and 2016.
Hand Obama his handiwork back to him on a Silver Platter.
Rip it !
Works for me!
Just one thing on MY long list, though!
Texas picked a good one.
He’d be more effective if we had a dozen like him in the Senate.
right now it’s just
Cruz, Lee, Inhofe
and increasingly less
Need to _repeal_ the SCOTUS _decision_ about it being LEGAL, too. What a butchery of what our fathers clearly stated in USConstitution. Of course NSA secret info provides overwhelming ability to bribe congressmen, judges, generals, CIA agents, news editors...
May God bless and keep Ted Cruz.
Cruz is right. This law is so terrible that it should be repealed in its entirety. If there are good parts in the law, they should be re-passed separately, in stand-alone legislation.
