Ted Cruz on Unaccompanied Child Crisis: Little Girls Are Being Sold Into Sex Slavery

Earlier today on Capitol Hill, the Senate Judiciary Committee held a Homeland Security oversight hearing and DHS Secretary Jeh Johnson testified.

Johnson was pressed by lawmakers, specifically Republicans, about the ongoing humanitarian crisis of unaccompanied children on the southwest border with Mexico. Since President Obama's Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals [DACA] program was implemented in 2012, we've seen an alarming increase in the number of children trafficked into the United States without their parents.

During the hearing, Texas Senator Ted Cruz reminded Johnson about exactly what we're dealing with here: children.

“It’s important to understand what those numbers represent. These numbers represent children. Little boys and little girls, their parents are handing them over not to some noble social worker trying to help them. They are handing them over to international, global criminal cartels that smuggle human beings in. They put kids, among other places, on top of fast-moving freight trains. They are criminals who assault, sexually assault, and sometimes murder these children. These are little girls that are sometimes being sold into prostitution and sex slavery," Cruz said. "The humanitarian crisis that comes from failing to secure our border is staggering."

Cruz pointed out the cruel reality of President Obama's DACA program, the abuse thousands of children potentially face as a result of the policy and broke down the numbers on how this crisis will get worse by next year. He also argued that the promotion of illegal immigration causes humanitarian crises like the one we're seeing right now.

“In 2011, there were roughly 7,000 unaccompanied minors who were apprehended...In 2012, that number rose to 14,000. In 2013, it rose to 24,000. And, in 2014, your agency is estimating it is going to be as high as 90,000. In 2015, the administration is estimating that it will rise all the way to 145,000," Cruz said. “Mr. Secretary, you testified to this committee the increase is a result of violence in Central America and there is surely violence in Central America, but if you look at the statistics…midway through 2012, was when Administration unilaterally granted amnesty to some 800,000 people who had been minors, with the so-called DACA [Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals] proceeding. And, you can see sometime after that the numbers spike dramatically. Is it really your testimony that granting amnesty to some 800,000 people who came here illegally as children had no effect in causing a dramatic increase of children being handed over to international drug cartels to be smuggled in here illegally?”

Yeah, “Children” that are mostly (supposedly) 15-17, but without legal ID, they could be older.

Every single one of these children or adults, should be sent back to the country of origin. This is orchestrated by the 0bastard team to further destroy our country. We cannot solve all the world’s problems. And this tsunami of “children”, many of whom are not children at all, is part of the Cloward Piven plan to usher in communist tyranny. Too bad Cruz doesn’t mention any of that.

Look, the Obama Administration and the lberals are setting up another false narrative...and this time its, “We have to save the children! There is a humanitarian crisis on our border!”

We see many, Dems and Rinos alike, falling over themselves trying to “look compassionate,” by buying into it and immediately coming up with all kinds of proposals and federal plans on how to address it.

But consider two things:

1) How did all of these unaccompanied, no food, no water, kids (many of whom are in the 16-18 year old range) get from central America to our border? Do people even ask themselves this? Obama and the press do not want us to ask such questions. They certainly did not walk there...across the southern Mexican border and then all the way across the length of Mexico. So, how did they get there?

2) While our attention and resources are focused on this “crisis,” what is happening elsewhere on the border...across that wide border through the trackless mountains and deserts of the American Southwest? Who else is coming in while we are trying to deal with this?

Yes, the Obama administration is calling this tremendous influx of underage illegal alien children at our southern border a humanitarian issue. Now it’s something like 10-12,000 per month. They are holding over 80,000.

As I Said, they now want over two billion US tax dollars to house them and move them further inland.

Again...just how on earth did they get from Honduras, Guatemala, El Salvador, etc. to the US southern border thewn? Hmmm?

Folks, the admin is lieing...again! Someone has orchestrated this and planned it and brought those children there.

So, here’s how you deal with the “crisis.”

Funnel those kids stright to the coast and put them on cargo ships. Get a bunch of the liberal Peace Corp and have them feed and watch over these foreign kids en route right back to where they came from.

When they get there, put them in boats and take them to shore.

Charge the countries of their origin for their transport and take it right out of the foreign aide we are already undoubtedly giving them.

While this is happening...close the border. Do not accept any more. Turn them all back to Mexico.

I promise you...if we do that and do so in ammner where they know that we are serious about it, they will stop coming. If not...Mexico will have to deal with them and I just bet you it will stop.

Once that is done, make a list of any country that aided and abetted in this travesty and then cut of ALL FOREIEGN AID to those countries...evry solitary penny of it.

Oh, hell, yes. Adults are behind this.
After all, in some countries, parents still sell their children. And look what radical Islamists do to their children. Even in this country people swap children for crack occasionally and things like that.
I think that they will find that a lot of these children are throwaways that somebody has gotten access to and are cynically using for political ends. They know that Americans may have lost patience with adult illegals but have a soft spot for children and were a compassionate country.
