ISIS Threatens to Invade Jordan, 'Slaughter' King Abdullah
Gatestone ^ | 06/12/14 | Khaled Abu Toameh

Posted on 06/12/2014 7:10:11 AM PDT by winoneforthegipper

The recent victories in Iraq and Syria by the terrorists of ISIS -- said to be an offshoot of al-Qaeda -- have emboldened the group and its followers throughout the Middle East. Now the terrorists are planning to move their jihad not only to Jordan, but also to the Gaza Strip, Sinai and Lebanon.

Failure to act will result in the establishment in the Middle East of a dangerous extremist Islamic empire that will pose a threat to American and Western interests.

"The danger is getting closer to our bedrooms." — Oraib al-Rantawi, Jordanian political analyst

What is amazing to me as I was researching ISIS this week is their ability to take most towns without much effort. They do this by complete terror.

Also they actually establish a functioning government and society after they over-take a city.

They are truly Caliph driven and should be considered the worse possible outcome.

Well, Obama has been kneeling before terrorists ( and anyone else for that matter).
All the people killed when we lose Iraq will on Obama. And there will be massive bloodshed. Along the line of Pol Pot killing fields.
But As long as Obama can play more golf, its ok.

30,000 Iraqi troops in Mosul dropped their weapons and ran from 800 ISIS fighters. Now it appears that the government is fleeing.

For Jordan to fall would be the beginning of the end for Israel. Jordan is the most rational neighbor they have.

They have been doing life amputations, they slaughter entire families and children, https://now.mmedia.me/lb/en/nowsyrialatestnews/549573-isis-kills-102-year-old-man-family-in-syria

BEIRUT - The most radical jihadist group fighting in Syria on Sunday killed a 102-year-old man along with his whole family in the heart of the country, a monitoring group said.

The 102-year-old was shot dead in his sleep, with the Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham (ISIS) also killing his son, his grandson, his great-granddaughter and her mother, said the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.

Correct. And their treason continues.

Even in the words they use.

THEY NEVER USE THE WORD “terrorist”.
It is “fighters” in “restive areas”.

They are puppets of the ongoing coup d’etat from 2008.

Actually, it would be the beginning of the end of ISIS. In the past, Israel has pledged (unsolicited) to defend Jordan from Syria invasion. So I believe an actual ISIS attack on that country would invite massive air strikes by the Israeli Air Force and possibly even ground forces to wipe out ISIS.

My head is spinning. Israel is pledged to defend Jordan, and I agree it's finally a fight they can't avoid. But the troops they'd be fighting are the ones who were fighting Assad, and Israel doesn't want Assad in power, do they? So will you have a weird situation where Israel, Assad, Iran, the sane part of Iraq, and even Turkey would have to put their hostilities on hold and defeat the US and Saudi proxies (ISIS) in Syria from destroying other countries?

Could an outcome of this be nobody will want US "help" anymore?

On a spiritual note...steeped in the ISIS drive is their belief that they must prepare for the Final Caliph. A position that dovetails not only with the Sh’ite belief in the 12th Iman but the fact they believe that Jesus will be the bringer of end times meshes completely with Christian’s Revelations and in ways the Jewish prophets.

Amazing stuff and one does not need tinfoil for.

War with Islam...

Maybe Israel vs. Islam, but that's about it. The West had a perfect chance to strangle radical islam right after 9/11, but Bush totally and tragically missed that opportunity. And that's ALL on him.

The West is now too sissified and PC to fight Islam. The snake will eventually devour the bunny rabbit.

Of course, I'm wrong if another Charles Martel suddenly appears. Could Putin be him? Naw...

I hope you're right, but I fear you're wrong. The original Charles Martel was, even before the Battle of Tours, recognized by France as a valuable leader.

Any Charles Martel that appeared today would be smeared by the government and the media. He'd be called a nazi, a fascist, a racist. All that would probably stick...until it was too late.

As a side note, how about Prince Henry as the next Charles Martel? The kid is popular, and he has guts.
