WIC (Women, Infants, and Children) and SNAP (Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program) are both federally-funded, state-administered programs with the simple goal of preventing Americans from going hungry. In Georgia, 54 people have been indicted for setting up pretend grocery stores that defrauded the programs of millions of dollars.
While this particular fraud scheme only came to light when the federal indictment was unsealed yesterday, taxpayers learned about problems with WIC administration in Georgia last year. The massive fraud and imaginary store scheme wouldnt have been possible without serious problems in the states administration of nutrition programs. For example,
WIC is a stricter program than food stamps; its intended for families with small children and pregnant or lactating women. Recipients receive paper vouchers that they exchange for a very specific selection of groceries: think staple foods like fresh fruit, peanut butter, beans, canned fish, milk, and of course infant formula. Its more challenging to defraud WIC, but this evidently doesnt stop some people.

Why is the food stamp program any less restrictive if it's really about food? Answer: because its about transfering wealth. They get debit cards they can use to buy just about anything they want.
Wait till Obamacommiecare get’s “going”, every organized crime outfit in the world is going to treat it like their own personal ATM. “Dr. Uri Golovanov was paid $456 million for doing a routine physical at P.O Box 3456”
And this fraud scheme was only concerning the state of Gorgia - how about the other 49 (or 56 if you go with Obama’s counting system)?
I can’t even imagine how much fraud goes on in the states of CA or NY.
Sorry , I meant Georgia, not “Gorgia”.
They shop at Food Lyin
(sorry about that .)
You are not going to get fat on what they provide.
IIRC there is no sweetened items allowed at all. The only meat is canned fish. All grain items are whole grain.
If you are actually hungry it is good stuff. If you are not hungry it is pretty boring and not exactly tasty.
I am betting this is just a small tip of the iceberg.
